Democrats Launch Petition Against Rush Limbaugh

Sounds like the ones that are going into a tizzy are conservatives over the The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee expressing it's rights of free speech against Rush.

The Rushbots don't like free speech when it goes against their mesiah Rush.

We're not complaining, we're laughing our asses off.

We're not complaining, we're laughing our asses off.

Sure you are, sure you are.

That's why we have so many posts complaining about it.

Thou shalt not dis the messiah known as Rush:lol:

This is halarious! :rofl I haven't had this much fun since the Dixie Chick C.D. burning party over at Cousin Roy's.

As much as I enjoy watching them yip and yap, like obniouxous little chihuahua's, it kinda pisses me off. Do the dems have so little faith in the collective American intelect that they think Rush Limbaugh means more than a fart in a whirlwind? They need to get over it. Buncha wussies, I tell ya.

Look, here's the REAL deal. Limbaugh, like Tokyo Rose, is entertainment. Let me spell it out. ENTERTAINMENT. Rush makes more money than anybody here, I would imagine. He is and has mastered the art of radio propaganda. That is his job and he's one of the best. It's legal. And as long as there is a market that Limbaugh can stroke that results in the generation of revenue, Rush shall forever spew. That's the American way.

Much like when the Rush fans boycotted the Dixie Chicks, for talking out their blowhole. Remember that? They couldn't fill an auditorium here in the US but their record was a bullet in Europe and concerts were sold out. Ooops. :3oops:

Rush is entertaining. Much like the National Enquirer is fun to read in the check out aisle. It's a way to pass the time but it doesn't mean I bought it.

Unknowingly, the dems just boosted Rush's marketability tenfold. Marketing genious, I tell ya.

Get over it dems. Rush is here to stay.

By the way. What ever did happen to Tokyo Rose?

:rofl

:rofl

What is wrong with Dems exercising free speech against Rush?

There is nothing in the article of Dems forcing anything on Rush, they are exercising their free speech rights to voice their opinions against Rush.

There is nothing wrong with that.

I don't agree with giving Rush the time of day or the publicity, but hey it's their choice.

I agree 100%. But, I think they would maintain more credibility not even acknowleging the guy.

You didn't see any sissy-boy whiners bitching about Keith Olbermann in Bush's posse did ya? :rofl

What's wrong with it? Nothing in principle.

But they work for the people. There are serious issues that face our country. Rush isn't one of them. It's a petty waste of time for them to whine like this. Rush is partisan blowhard. What's next? Let's start a petition saying that water is wet.

Personally, this Democrat hates the fact that it makes the Dems look weak by giving importance to Limbaugh's words. If some worthless person was calling me names, I wouldn't even acknowledge it because I am apathetic to this loser's words. This is how I believe the Dems should treat Limbaugh. They should relish the idea that Limbaugh's panties are in a wad over Obama being our president.

No kidding. without rush many conservatives would lose their talking points.

Who needs Rush? The Democrats are so transparent in their idiocy, any Conservative with half a brain can call them out on their idiotic hypocrisy.

Not saying Republicans are much better, but ...

Actually Cheney and Palin have commented on him. That doesn't rise to the level of a petition or the POTUS mentioning him.

Agreed, if I were a conspiracy theorist I would say that Rush paid these Dems to protest him so he could get more publicity and money.

Personally, I think the GOP ought to study the issue while it's in the light.

I mean, personally, I traditionally like the GOP. Over the better part of the last decade, I have gotten sideways with it. I like being conservative, in a Goldwater "live-and let-live" kinda way. Since the O'Reilly's and Limbaugh's started representing and making policy for the GOP, (and brought in all these rude, disrespectful, nasty people with them,) The party has nosedived and you can't hardly buy a seat in politics anymore if there is an "R" beside your name.

PS... I'll tell you guys something else I believe. If the marketed demanded it, I believe that Rush Limbaugh would broadcast in high-heels wearing silk panty-hose (with a line running up the back,) endorse same-sex marriage, eat tofu and own a little mexican hairless chihuahua. It's all about the money.

Whereas, he does have a little competition in his field, he's on top. Hannity's just an idiot, Coulter is just a **** and O'Reilly is...well, O'Reilly is O'Rilley.

Still, Rush is the King or Rightwing Lunacy. There are many impersonators, but there was only one Elvis.

He has worked hard for that title. He deserves it above all others. He deserves the money it brings him. That is the American way for sure. Let freedom ring!

Democrats Launch Petition Against Rush Limbaugh
Tuesday, January 27, 2009
By Melanie Hunter-Omar

(CNSNews.com) – The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has launched an online petition for readers to express their outrage at conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh for saying last week that he wanted President Barack Obama to fail.
http://cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=42616

On the heels of Obama’s ill advised Limbaugh comments, the DNC is now making the same mistake. Even starting a petition, sure wish I could recall the name of the poster who bravely predicted that Obama’s POTUS victory would spell the end for Limbaugh. Because clearly his show is about to experience an audience swell and even more exposure than usual, via Obama and the DNC. Jeez talking about playing into Limbaugh’s hands.:doh

Limbaugh does better with the opposition in office I believe. This sort of stuff is right up his alley. Bravo Democrats for playing right into his hands.

You can't buy advertising like that, huh? :rofl

Limbaugh's gonna have a field day with the DNC... :doh

For all the reasons people love to insult him, and some of them are right, to call him anything but deft at politicial warfare would be foolish. The DNC keeps trying and they keep failing.

what "truth" is that?

"There are more acres of forestland in America today than when Columbus discovered the continent in 1492." - Rush Limbaugh

"I mean, lets face it, we didnt have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing." - Rush Limbaugh

"You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray [the confessed assassin of Martin Luther King]. We miss you, James. Godspeed." - Rush Limbaugh

"Why should Blacks be heard? They're 12% of the population. Who the hell cares." - Rush Limbaugh

"The Earth's eco-system is not fragile." - Rush Limbaugh

"I don't give a hoot that [Columbus] gave some Indians a disease that they didn't have immunity against." - Rush Limbaugh

"He is exaggerating the effects of the disease. He's moving all around and shaking and it's purely an act. . . . This is really shameless of Michael J. Fox. Either he didn't take his medication or he's acting. This is the only time I've ever seen Michael J. Fox portray any of the symptoms of the disease he has. He can barely control himself." - Rush Limbaugh

"If the owl can't adapt to the superiority of humans, screw it." - Rush Limbaugh

"The most beautiful thing about a tree is what you do after you cut it down." - Rush Limbaugh

YAY for propoganda. Since at least one of those I know for an absolute undisputable fact that its taken out of context, and knowing your love to go completley hyper partisan to the left at times, I'm going to assume the vast majority of these are taken out of context.

Thank you niftydrifty, you've proven that if you take a single sentence out of a 3 hour show that's on 200+ times a year for over a decade now you can find a number that can appear questionable. You've definitely swayed me.

Absolutely correct, and its actually a telling example of Limbaugh's prescense and influence still in this country. When you have the DNC and the President of the United States who just got elected in by a large margin worrying about Rush Limbaugh in the first week of the new administration then you know it is a big issue to them.

Like him, hate him, Limbaugh is an extremely influential and important character in the landscape of American Politics and many of the liberals in power are extremely afraid of that fact to the point of feeling the need to make stupid stunts or idiotic comments like those in the past week.

For all the reasons people love to insult him, and some of them are right, to call him anything but deft at politicial warfare would be foolish. The DNC keeps trying and they keep failing.
As has been pointed out, Rush's comment wan in reference to Obama's economic policies and the current economic woe.

Given that Rush disagrees with Obama's policies, and believes they will cause the US more long term harm than short-term good, why would he NOT want Obama to fail?

And then, what is wrong with Rush expressing that view?

I can't believe we agree!

:2wave:

The Drug addict gasbag is a cancer for the Republican party...I don't see this as the Democrats playing into his hands at all. The best thing that could happen to the Democrats is for Rush to be in the limelight for the next 2-4 years...the closer he is affiliated with the Republican base the more clear it becomes how out of touch the Republican party has become.
