EU cannot trust Russia or Ukraine, Barroso says

Well.. Its not about that. Ukraine will eventually join the European union. Thats a certainty. Once it does there is nothing France can do. I am certain that in 2050 the only country in Europe that will be stronger than Ukraine is Germany.

Ukraine has the potential to be vital for Europe as it is also a breadbasket. Having Ukraine in the EU will be a boon for the agricultural production of the EU. Russia is still ticked off for losing that. 50 years from now, the EU will be saying "what gas" while Ukraine will still be able to take advantage of its considerable agricultural resources.

It speaks for itself. Adams was invited to the Whitehouse every year for more than a decade I believe not to mention the myriad support given to Fenians by America so you are hardly in a position to throw stones.

Nice spin attempt... but YOU FAIL.

We're talking about terrorists ... not Hillary's boyfriend.

What are you talking about?

Gerry Adams was invited to the Whitehouse every year for a decade or so. Do you just not know who he is? He was a Fenian leader.

Gerry Adams - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

We're not talking about that guy. Also ... the USA didn't arm him with RPGs, machineguns, and various other implements of death.

Iran has been arming Hezballah and Hamas for many years.

As such, you poor attempt at thread hijacking is quashed.

You fail. Acccept it and move on.

Also ... stop hijacking this thread.

Stay on topic or leave.

What the hell has Iran got to do with anything we were talking about. You said Russia as far as I remember.

And the links between the IRA and similar and America and Americans are murky and far from pure it seems.

With the election of Obama in the US Russia has the dominant position in Europe.

USA will now deal with Russia to Russia's benefit at the expense of its own allies.

Pray Putin doesn't get an urge to wear boots.. or we might have to divide up Poland again.

Well that is the EUroplot for you.

No, thats the UK being a failed state, a country indebted, with companies indebted and people indebted. That has NOTHING to do with the EU...

You will probably claim that its because you had to pay some money to the EU, and completely overlook the fact that that money is just a tiny bit of UK GPD, and that when withdrawn from what you get back is basically nothing.

Sure it does the EU costs us billions but nice way to talk about my country, good tactic in winning me over.

It is large enough. The UK's problems are due to scumbags like New Labour. But still it is just a recession, they happen.

Yes, over 30 years the EU has cost you billions in net contributions.. But total of your GDP over that period has been about 50 trillion. So a few billion really is nothing. And the UK average taxation rate is about 30% of GDP, which makes it say 17 trillion, and of those a few billion really is nothing either..

Its not even related to the UK bankruptcy in the furthest fantasy of the anti-EU mind, unless that mind is just corrupted with misinformation.

I know that the EUroplot is only one of the many reasons for our problems. But it is the same scum that rule it who rule us.

What is your problem with calling it by its real name? Is it the same as your problem with looking at it in realistic perspective rather than blindly and narrow anti-EU perspective?

Do you have to call it EUroplot to make your own insane standing on the European Union feel better?

To you standing up for ancient national sovereignty might be insane to you but to those who aren't Bolsheviks it isn't.

I call it the EUroplot because that is what it is and I just don't like it and want to show my contempt for the despicable association of despots.

As I said ... Russia sells missles and bombs to Iran.

You're blowing smoke ... and failing at it.

You failed -- move on.

Both Europe and the US have sold missiles and weapons to failed African states for decades. Makes us no better than Russia if you look at the bigger perspectives, rather than a narrow perspective which focuses on disliking Russia and liking your own country.

We aren't selling nuclear technology to a terrorist state. Russia is doing exactly that.

There is a difference and I suggest you learn it.

after being approved by all five members of the UN Security Council, including the US.

Rusia moves, Russia scores.

and the approval of the members council makes the difference, doesn't it?

Rusia moves, Russia scores.

What are you going to do with your little helpless Russophobia, now? What are you feeding it on, - what do you read, whatch, listen to, - or it is just a
hallucination of yours? What does inflict it?

No, but hopefully the USA will deal with Russia to the USA's benefit.

As for the "dominant position in Europe" that is a joke. From Ramstein to Aviano it should be clear where the real power lies. And who pays for that power? We do. If our allies don't like it, tough.

As for blaming Russia because they give weapons to states we don't like, get over it. The US exports more arms than anyone, and it's not even close. Unless, of course, you hold the America-Does-No-Wrong view, in which case it must have be a good thing we armed Afghan heathen to kill Russians.

Now, if Russia is found to have given nuclear capablities to Iran then that is a different issue entirely, and could even make a case of war criminality to Russia's leaders....Like there's a case against all the US Presidents who gave weapons to a nuclear-equipped Israel (which is illegal and why you'll never hear official US policy admit the existence of those nukes).

Soviets, not exactly Russians were killed in Afgan,. It was the right thing to resist Communism.

There is such a simple fact that Russia gets money for its weapons, and this money is the goal they pursue first. In its attempts to recover from the economical catastrophe caused by years of democracy, Russia needs money badly. There is not too much of advanced technology Russia can offer to the market, but Russian weapons are really cool.

Hypothetically, Russia apparently wouldn’t not mind to sell its technology and weapons to the US ( that of course would save trillions to American taxpayers)

The second motive of course is to gain an independent position on the global stage, to be their own masters.

Russia pretty much balances not to overpower its own enemies, and it tries to balance with Iran walking on the edge. In exchange Iran restrains itself in spreading terrorism in the sphere of Russian interests, and Russia shows to the US that it has strings to pull if the US keeps on seeking military confrontation with Russia.

The sale of Russian weapons (though they didn’t represent latest Russian technology, yet) to India, which is our partner allowed Pentagon to try them in a fight simulation the first time in decades. I bet you’ve heard no line, no word about it here.

’South Korea is developing a simplified version of the S-400 called Cheolmae-2 with the help of Almaz Central Design Bureau. The Cheolmae-2 will be comprised of an X-band multi-function radar vehicle built by Almaz, a command post vehicle and several transporter-erector-launchers for Koreanized 9M96 missiles. The prime contractor is Samsung Thales, a joint venture between Samsung Electronics and Thales of France.’’

Just for you since you you will never hear or read this,- X-band multi-function radar is a part of the system shooting Stealth aircraft.

The idea that Russia sells weapons to our enemies omits the fact that it sells better weapons to our allies and partners. The later fact makes the former idea mute.

So? America is the only nation to be convicted of supporting terrorism I believe, not to mention the intimate association between it and Fenians.

You are talking crap again, you fail, don't throw stone when you live in a glass house mate.

I think the EU needs to suffer a bit. They've got too big for their breaches. Socialist bastards need to remember if they want Soviet domination or ours. They can be slaves or free.

We've already got Soviet domination, it is called the EU or the EUSSR.

Good, I hope it stays that way for a while. All those EU countries that bitches about the US, can suck it up for a while.
