And it is being held up by one of the worst Senators in the Senate, who on this day, became one of the best senators in the Senate. All alone, he had the chutzpah to hold up Hillary's nomination for Secretary of State. Sure, Cornyn is tilting at windmills here, and Hillary will be easily confirmed tomorrow, but at least he stuck his neck out for what he believed to be a legitimate issue. After today, he will go back to being one of the worst Senators, but today, he definitely commanded my respect. And where are all the other Republicans? Kissing Hillary's ass, of course. What happened to the much vaunted GOP ruthlessness? It went out with a whimper, that's what happened.

What, exactly, would be the point of holding up Hillary's nomination for SoS?

Apparently they located some wealthy Buddhist monks in the Clinton closet. :rofl

I was (and remain) a Hillary supporter, having voted for her in the primary over Barack Obama. Nevertheless, I agree with Cornyn, he is absolutely correct in his criticism of the potential for conflict. I do have to wonder, however, if he would have been as reticent under a Republican Administration, but I don't have time to do the research.

I sincerely wish the Senate would listen to him, and hold up the confirmation until Hillary's camp is required to sign further measures to reduce conflict of interest.

Hillary alone I think would make a great sec of state. She is a smart woman and a proffesional poltician. Having Bill in her corner is just a plus.

But reading the article I can see this senators concerns. As Sec of State will she be compromised by overseas donations to Bill's project?
