Obama 'a major step' for humanity: Canada governor general

Obama 'a major step' for humanity: Canada governor general

What happened in Haiti, where in 1804 the country's black African and creole population freed itself from slavery by overthrowing the colonial regime, was similar to Obama's election experience...

This type of claptrap is sad to see. This from the same spineless twit that couldn't force the hands of Canada's socialists and separatists and call a new election.

Verbal feces like this diminishes the acts their forefathers took in Haiti. It diminishes the acts of brave people fighting slavery regardless of skin color.

It makes it sound like America was a racist nation until a few months ago.

    Disgusting and unfortunately... very Kanuckistani.

Obama got elected, he's Black! Let's heap on him praises! It makes America seem pathetic, like we just did our first Affirmative Action Election.

He's a she, and not in that article.

I'd like to hear it... for amusement sake.
It'd be like listening to a Euro explain why Bush is evil.

I think it's a she. And the Canadian media is even more leftist than the US media. As I speak there is a Canadian morning radio station doing uncomplimentary and slightly mean spirited riffs on GWB's malaprops called, "Bye-bye, Bush."

They have nothing exciting in Canada to concern themselves with, apparently.

MichaŽlle JeanCC CMM COM CD [mi.ka.ɛl ʒɑ̃], (born September 6, 1957, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti) is the current Governor General of Canada. Jean was appointed by Queen Elizabeth II, on the recommendation of Prime Minister Paul Martin, to succeed Adrienne Clarkson and become the 27th Governor General of Canada since Confederation in 1867. Prior to this, Jean was a journalist and broadcaster on Radio-Canada and the CBC.

As the current Governor General of Canada, she is entitled to be styled Her Excellency while in office, and The Right Honourable for life; given current practice, she will be sworn in to the Queen's Privy Council for Canada after her term as the Queen's representative has ended.

An official announcement about the appointment was made on August 4, 2005. Her investiture took place on September 27.

I love it when a bunch of conservatives work themselves into a lather without even the hint of an opposing view. It's like you spend your day hunting down things on the web to piss yourselves off.

I was under the impression that the **** in Haiti didn't turn out so well in the end. Is that what they're saying of Obama. Comes in with all this hope and change, and in the end we're just screwed like normal? I cay buy that one.
