Opposition leader returns to Zimbabwe ahead of talks

Anyone who actually thinks talking is the solution here is really akin to the Scarecrow when he met DOrothy. "If I only had a brain...."

The only thing that will even BEGIN to solve the problems in the country once known as southern Africa's breadbasket it to put a hole in Mugab's head. NOW!

I very much doubt that the removal of Mugabe would provide the right conditions.
    ZANU-PF are the problem.
Mugabe would in all probability have been happy to resign, as I understand it the Leaders of ZANU-PF persuaded him to continue as President.
I believe that if he were to cease to become President there is a good likelyhood that civil war would break out between those who would seek to replace him.
Namely the Head of Army or Head of Air Force.

And of course the AU, being the useless organization that it is, will do nothing to intervene. At least three members (Kenya, Burkina Faso, and neighboring Botswana) have called for more forceful action, but the RSA and most of the rest of the AU (which includes every country in Africa except Morocco) has proven completely inept at coming up with any concrete action to solve this crisis that really affects all of southern Africa.
