Student auctions off virginity for offers of more than £2.5 million

Wow. Just wow.

In a world filled with thieves, corporate fraud, rapists, murderers, and genocidal dictators, the candidate for "one of the top 3 worst people of the decade" is a broke college student who decided to auction off the one thing she had of value in order to fund her education?

For this y'all hope she's permanently infected with an incurable disease and arrested?

I think some of you need to take a step back and reassess your own moral priorities.

All those people are scums, but mostly they don't take pride in being part of the news. Her moral is just LOW.

Dude, like, ya know... they have this thing called "Sex Therapy" (okay, I don't really know if that's what they call it, I'm sure it actually has some technical name), but like people with sexual dysfunctions who are under a therapist's care, sometimes the therapist will have someone come in and have sex with them. Right there in the office.

I have heard of sex therapists, and I am pretty sure that what you have described is not a part of recognized therapy, and I am fairly certain that it is actually a violation of ethical standards for any kind of therapist.

If that's the one thing she has of value, then she is even more worthless than we have been led to believe. It certainly speaks ill of the value of the college degree she already possesses, and her ability to perform any kind of honorable labor.

I certainly do not think she's one of the 3 worst people of the decade. Not even close. But I would say at least that she is worse than the average underage runaway turning tricks... because she is glamorizing what she is doing, and presenting it as noble and empowering.

For this y'all hope she's permanently infected with an incurable disease and arrested?

Arrested, certainly, and embarrassed. But I do not hope that she is infected with any diseases-- at least, none that cannot be simply cured-- and I would actually hope that any charges against her would be resolved by a fine and stricken from her record.

My only desires here are for her to not do this, to learn the error of her ways, and for other people to see her embarrassed and likewise learn from her mistake.

I think some of you need to take a step back and reassess your own moral priorities.

This, at least, I can agree upon.

I love the fake moral high ground that a lot of the men here are trying to take. If men could offer up their virginity for a high price to willing female participants all of you guys would probably leap at the chance in a heartbeat..

I wouldn't.. It would be hard to say not to such a large sum of money, but I still wouldn't, and I would feel good about not doing it.
If I did I could never forgive mysel, and my integrity would lay in shatters, something far worse than not taking some money.

You've never even considered the possibility that it's not fake, have you? It appears that all of those scumbag preachers and "paragons of moral virtue" have finally done their job... they have debased the concept of "morality" to the point that people automatically assume it's a sham.

Pitiful.

I won't lie. For that kind of money, I would have offered up my virginity to a man or a woman. But like I have also already said... it wouldn't be right, and I would know that it wasn't right. I sure as Hell wouldn't be bragging about it.

In fact, once she does it, I hope she tries to pull the same stunt again to see how many other desperate morons she could dupe.

So you have no more moral objection to fraud than you do to prostitution? Hardly surprising; the two go hand in hand.

Malarky.
She's not even selling a kidney (and if she were, she certainly wouldn't get 3m for it).
She'll still have her body when it's over. And the money, too.
And she'll be rid of that ponderous virginity, which must be an embarrassing burden by the time one is in one's mid-twenties. That's just weird.

Some of you think that she's just trading a desired commodity, her "virginity" for another, money. You see nothing wrong with this. This says more about you then it does her.

Why is "Virginity" so valued, ask yourself that? Ask yourself why it's worth so much to someone.

And now maybe, you might see why some of us see her act as debasing herself for money. It's sick, and something that should be shunned, not promoted, or honored.

Even to a man? Geez..

Wouldn't you rather be "moral but poor and have integrity" than "rich and low on morals and integrity"?

Imagine how LOW you would feel for doing that.

Really? Then you have never been taken by a real woman!
(and perhaps you are small)

I'm not saying women who aren't virgins aren't fun to make love to, I'm saying that in a straight up comparison a virgin provides a better feeling than a woman who has had a lot of sex.

This is just untrue. The best women are the ones who know really well how to screw a man ;)

Also there is a different between a(worn out, like you imply) women who has had LOTS of sex and one who knows what she is doing.

Maybe this is getting lost in translation. Yes, a woman who knows what she's doing is a lot more fun then virgin who has no idea what's going on, but as far as sensation on the **** goes a virgin provides more.

I'm not terribly impressed by the morality of more than a few folks in this thread, frankly. I'm seeing hypocrisy, misogyny, an evil delight in using the basest insults against this woman... and wishing her ill. To me all of that is a reflection of lower morals than a woman who has wished no one ill, debased no one, and certainly hasn't set herself up as the harbinger of the morals of others.

I started off in this thread rather amused. At this point, I'm no longer amused. I'm actually feeling a bit of contempt... and it's not directed toward our auctioneering virgin.

It really depends. But this is getting too technical and nasty now. I think we have to draw a line at "all women have different tightness" :3oops:

I actually do not wish her ill, I just despise her.

Don't worry about it, if it gets too nasty the mods will kick it down to the Basement. And I could argue the relative merits of experience vs youth all night.

As some comedian pointed out (can't remember) in regards to the Muslim religion, "I would rather have one dirty girl from Las Vegas, than 72 virgins" :rofl

Whatever, it's her right. I think the real issue is why would anyone want to pay this ugly, ugly woman for sex? Let alone THREE MILLION DOLLARS!?!? I seriously wouldn't have sex with this woman for free. She'd have to pay me if anything. Man, if I was going to blow three mil on someone's virginity I would hire ten private investigators to find the best virgin money can buy. I'm talking, just turned eighteen, hottest thing you ever laid eyes on virgin. Not some frumpy braud whose face is covered in acne and makeup. What a bunch of idiots these guys are. Good for her ugly ass, I guess.

Like Dianna, I find the misogyny and hostility expressed here far more offensive than any factual discussion of sexual anatomy, male or female.
If you find such discussion inappropriate and/ or embarrassing, perhaps that lends a clue as to why you find this woman "one of the three worst people" of modern times, and wish she'd contract a disease.
Perhaps you are severely sexually repressed.

Hey, I never said I hoped she would catch a disease. I hope she gets severe legal punishment.
The whole top 3 was just an exaggeration to make a point that words cant describe how low she is.

I do believe it is a sham.

I'm sorry, but how is it not right? According to whom? It's an agreement between two consenting adults. If someone is willing to part with that much money for something like that then that is their choice.

So you have no more moral objection to fraud than you do to prostitution? Hardly surprising; the two go hand in hand.

I have no objection to prostitution at all. As far as fraud goes, I don't advocate it, but I don't feel sympathy for someone who is going to pay that much money to take someone's virginity. A fool and his money are soon parted. I'm not going to feign disgust or outrage over this because I would do the exact same thing if I could have. Perhaps that makes me a horrible person in the eyes of many, but at least I'm honest about it.

Well, I don't buy it. It's one thing to say it. If it were a reality that would be an entirely different ballgame.
