    Thats just nationalism borderline retardation.
The U.S. shielded EUrope from the Soviet Union for decades. If you ignore this, you truly are ignorant of history.

Frankly, I am not aware of how candidates stand for election in most European democracies. However, in the US, one does NOT need the approval of the party leadership to run in ANY election. They petition for election at a GOVERNMENT office, NOT a party one.

Thats true, and Europe helped shield the US..
Even to this day if there is any conventional war between the US and Russia it will be a stalemate. the only advantage the US has is Europe.

But why are we really discussing this now.. Are you people so far into forcing people into your one sided perspectives that you just have to dribble out irrelevant debates just to force more propaganda onto people?

This coming from someone who says Iran is a democracy and posits (inaccurately) that the leadership of political parties in the US approve or reject candidates before they get on primary ballots. Absurd.

OFCOURSE they do.. Dont you GET IT???????????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????, Whats really so difficult in understanding that in order to be president in the US one have to stand for either the democrats or the republicans? One cant simply stand for those parties without their approval, and you have to conform your platform to fit their image.

Your problem is that you defend states that are not truly democracies and you have an abject lack of understand on the AMerican system of elections, yet you are claiming that your view is the valid one, though it is devoid of facts.

So, what you are saying is that anyone who pleases can stand as presidential candidate for whatever party he pleases with whatever platform he wants?

Goodness, gracious. ANYONE who is a qualified candidate can run for any office in the United States for either party WITHOUT the party heirarchy's approval. WHat about this do you NOT understand!?

YES! You may laugh, but this is the reality in the United States.
