If true, it's about ****ing time. It will be interesting to see whether Congress agrees though.
No longer,"Man overboard"..."GAY OVERBOARD". Sexual choice is all well and good but this is a little to much to ask. I worked with a bull dYke for many years . She was disruptive, hatefull, sexually harassed the ladies at the hospital, just an all around cultural splinter in our asses. I am so glad I`m truely "old Navy". "Don`t Ask ,Don`t Tell" ,worked just fine. What is the great urgency here? Aren`t there a few more important issues to deal with first ?

I worked with a straight guy like your lesbian example. Now what?

There is very little "independent" about your thinking I suspect. It appears to me that you are hostage to your thinking.

And it appears you wish to label every gay person like the lady you worked with.

Why does this always come down to "you must be a homophobe" or "I (Insert location)worked/served with a gay person?"

Well DADT has nothing to do with being homophobic or any such nonsense. It has more to do with adding stress to an already stressful situation. I think it was an acceptable policy and agreed with it.

Here is what I want to know. Why didn't the US government just do it without all the early announcement etc. Why didn't they just quietly get rid of DADT and leave it alone, similar to the Israeli government. It was years before it was ever brought up after the change, and when it was, no one really cared. On it's own it became a non-issue.

Our government is so stupid it is beyond me. I guess they just had to get some kind of press out of it.

It's only an issue because homophobes make it an issue because they want to prohibit gays from serving openly. You said it quite well: Once the policy is in place, no one will really care. Glad you agree.
    Are you coming to bed?
    I can't. This is important.

    Right.

What did your bringing up the lesbian prove?

It has nothing to do with homophobia. Get a new mantra. It's like a moonbat calling everyone who supported Bush a "fascist."

And no I don't agree. If the government had done it correctly, it would not have been a big deal. Don't be so dishonest as to put words in my mouth, or quote me out of context.

    This is what I said:
