What is there to understand. I've worked with gay people. I know gay people. I trust gay people. I've showered with gay people. I can't imagine anything changing because our lives were on the line.

Does having your life on the line make you think about the one of the team cornholing you?

Please tell me how this it's different. You've got the experience. What do you know about gays that I don't?

The military frowns on relations between officers and enlisted as well. They do what most others do and go on leave.

    It is not that hard.
Gays already serve in the military. I just fail to see how it's going to cause such a huge problem if suddenly people know who they are. I'm sure many know already. I'm sure some people will have a problem with it, but they'll have to get over it. Times change. Gay people exist. Deal with it.

Just as men and women shower seperatly will men and gays be showering seperatly. If I know a soldier is gay Im not getting naked in front of him. And what about rooms. Typically there will be anywhere from 2 to 4 men or more shareing a room. The same with women. I don't want a gay man as a roommate checking me out when Im dressing. Or when Im laying around in my underwhere watching TV or what ever. I do not think open gays can serve with straight soldiers unless accomidations are made such as seperate rooms and restrooms and showers for gays just like there are seperate facilities for men and women.
Gays already serve without being segregated.

I'm sure you have a fine penis though.

Men and women in the military have seperate open showers. Should we allow men and women to shower together? And if not then why shoud we have straight and openly gay men showering together?

Once again, if you're worried about a dude oggling your weiner while you're in the middle of a war zone, your priorities are out of whack. And either way, you'll do what your superiors tell you to do or you'll be dishonorably discharged.
    Are you coming to bed?
    I can't. This is important.

In the everyday world that is fine. The military is very different.

Having your life on the line has nothing to do with it.

Not about gays, about life in the military.

Why do I have to keep repeating myself.

What if your not in the middle of a war zone and your living in the barracks back in the states? Like I said women and men have seperate rooms showers and rest rooms. Why wouldn't straight and openly gay men not have seperate facilities?

What does their religion have to do with it anyway? Many of the gays in the military are probably Christians themselves.

But you acknowledged that gays already serve in the military. Why would you balk at joining if the government didn't pretend that there are no gays in the military?
