Police: Pilot made bogus distress call before plane crash

This may very well end up being the craziest story of the year:

1) Pilot calls in emergency distress call.

2) Military fighters are scrambled and escort the plane.

3) Plane crashes in full view of military fighters.

4) Pilot not found in wreck.

5) Pilot later seen in hotel, and is now on the run.

6) Pilot is an executive of a financial corporation.

Did he attempt to fake his own death for the insurance money? Stay tuned, as this story is being updated by the minute.

Police are now saying that the company in Indiana he was president of was being investigated by authorities.
