Palin: Media going easier on Kennedy because of class

How did I know that you would still call anything I say about Sarah Palin irrational.

Bye bye
It is what it is. I did more than call it, I provided examples. For example it is telling that you and MG keep asking about the so called blogs that were supposedly making all these spurious charges against Palin. If you two had taken the time to actually bloody READ you would know that one such non blog source was Palin’s hometown NEWSPAPER. And that other newspapers and wire feeds across the country picked up and ran those salacious reports. And if this stuff WAS not widely reported and the topic of cable news shows and radio, just how do you two propose to have learned about all of this in the first place? You gals in the same blog coffee klatch?

But yes of course it is time for an aps bye bye, how did I know that was going to happen? :thinking

Um..are you kidding? Even Palin admitted that the interview didn't go good. What interview were you watching?

She wouldn't have been put in such a defensive position about the interview if the wrath of the liberal media didn't come crashing down about this interview. If liberals weren't so ****ing weird and freaked out about Palin it would have just been another interview.

OMG!!! She doesn't know what newspapers she reads! OMG!!! That's her daughter's baby!!! OMG!!! She's against abortion!!!

.

WTF does going to church and having kids have to do with anything?

Since when did that mean anything?

What was meaningful? Why all the hate for a woman that any American would immediately just like, even if there was no way they would ever vote for her?

You're acting like the reaction to Palin was somehow normal when I say it was completely bizarre. And still is.

Like I said, even she flat out admitted that the interview didn't go good. She didn't say that it was based on the perception of liberals. Are you going to continue to live in a state of denial about it?

I think the main issue a lot of people had was the fact that she didn't know what newspaper she reads. How does she not know this? I personally think we should hold all of the people who are campaigning for election to a certain standard. If someone can't name a single newspaper that they read that's a little concerning to me. Obviously you have lower standards.

Oh and by the way, the only person I see foaming at the mouth and freaking out here is you.

I could be wrong, but I don't think anyone actually hates Palin. I certainly don't. However, apparently you fail to see the distinction between criticism and hatred.

The guy doing this documentary is starting with a premise and working backwards from there. He is fitting things to support his claim instead of letting the evidence lead him to the conclusion.
He is using the Michael Moore approach.

I wrote a whole reply to this and my browser crashed. :-(

Anyway, I'd like to know from Sarah what did Katie do in particular to be unfair to her?

If she would have answered the newspaper question as well as she did in this particular interview, then I would have come to a different conclusion. But she didn't come across well with Katie, IMO. Not because of Katie, but because of her answers. I've seen her in other interviews, with other interviewers, that produced the same old indirect generalized answers that I find unappealing.

So I'd like to know from Sarah-- in a direct manner, rather than "she thinks she's the center of the universe"--why that particular interview was misleading.
Can you first please indicate where in this interview Palin says Katie was unfair to her? You and aps keep going on about this “unfair” point of yours despite the fact that Palin did not say anything of the sort. Hence the application of the word irrational.

As for the rest of your questions, did you actually watch and listen to the interview? Seems to me you must not have, or you would know with specificity what Palin did say and hence would not need to pose questions to already addressed answers. Christ on the cross you two seem hellbent on illustrating exactly my earlier point about the worst Palin detractors.

I may be more discriminating, but I don't immediately "just like" anyone. I may enjoy attributes and traits, I don't pretend to know enough about them just from that information to "just like" them.

There was plenty of righteous criticism of Palin. Her answers sucked. She sounded slogany and downright like she was just trying to fill time with her answers.

Hello, Sir Loin... that's the point of this doc, no? To show how unfair the media has been towards her. Why does she need to say it? It's automatically insinuated. She had a beef with how the media treated her, and in her words, "Katie is not the center of the universe." Hmmmmmm.

Funny how she's done a complete 180 to her viewpoint in August. I wonder if Hillary will offer up any words of advice? :2razz:

So you now realize that she did not say Couric was unfair to her and that in fact she was quite specific with regards to what issues she did have with the Couric interview. Likewise she seems to have answered your questions and you seem not have been able to make yourself watch and listen to the interview. Which would of course answer most of the questions and points you have had in this thread.

So now it is the intent of the interviewer and his subject matter that equates Sarah Palin as saying Couric was unfair to her? How lazy and frankly vacant that is. Hmmm, is in fact the subject of the documentary that Katie Couric was “unfair” to Sarah Palin? In looking through the press kit for the documentary, I don’t seem to be able to find anything about that “point” of yours. Go figure.

“Katie is not the center of the universe” is your subjective answer and justification for dusting off the same arguments you were making months ago? And you found it important to go looking for old interviews and comments from Palin, rather than the ones that are the subject here and actually address all your questions, in order to try to keep the subject that Palin said UNFAIR!

Oh yeah I was just way off base about the irrationality on display here. How mean of me to point out the pink elephant in the room.:darthgunny

Yeah, that's kinda what Charlie Gibson and Wolf Blitzer thought also....LOL

Charles Gibson said in reaction to one of her answers, “I sort of got lost in a blizzard of words there”.

BLITZER:Right now a big issue, should the U.S. government, the federal government bail out the Detroit — the big three automakers?

PALIN:[Four paragraphs of gibberish. If you want to read it, here's the link
The Page - by Mark Halperin - TIME]

BLITZER: So, sorry, I’m still waiting for the answer, should the government bail out the big three automakers?

I like how she thought that if she was on the Dem ticket everything would have been different.

I wonder if she would have accused McCain of "palling around with the North Vietnamese."

In thinking about my earlier reponse, I didn't answer this correctly. Had she been on the Democratic ticket, I feel 100% sure that the Republicans would have been all over her pregnant daughter, claiming that she was the typical liberal, who would be using welfare to raise her child. No doubt about it.

She is a BEAST! She is nothing but an ego-tripping media ho and she is getting what she wants with crap like this:roll:

Thanks MSM for this BEAST cause she is good for a few laughs and water cooler talk each morn:2razz:

Bizarre!

Agreed, of course you are being thoughtful here! Sadly there are many at DP that find it impossible to act that way when Palin is mentioned. It is more than fair to call it Palin Derangement Syndrome IMO.

LOL... are you kidding? That clip, and I assume the entire documentary based on the clip, is so hypocritical it's sick! I can't believe she complains about the exact garbage she and McCain pulled during the election.

Of course you assume. So what does that have to do with anything important? The documentary is not even out yet so thoughtful minds will wait until it is to judge it. I do note you are not amongst that crowd.

I said I assume based on the clip. Which means my assumption could change once the docu. comes out. Did you have anything useful to say or are you simply satisfied making ad homs?

Yeah it is an ad hom to note you assume. So you are interested in useful comments? GREAT! You can start being useful by detailing how the interview is "so hypocritical it's sick" and move along to your really important points. Or you can try to press your ad hom tack, you'll find me taped up and ready to spar. Let us hope you are better at this than aps or MG and wise enough not to illustrate the absurdity of your argument by making your signature about it. Despite the contextual inaccuracies therein. By all means, get on with your bad self!:boxer

"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me….I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue. . . .

The former Republican vice presidential candidate said again she regretted not taking a greater leadership role during the campaign season. "If I were giving advice to myself back on the day my candidacy was announced, I'd say, Tell the campaign that you'll be callin' some of the shots,” she said. “Don't just assume that they know you well enough to make all your decisions for ya. Let them know that you're the CEO of a state, you're forty-four years old, you've got a lot of great life experience that can be put to good use as a candidate."

I'm sorry, but can you imagine any Vice President making comments like this? There have been so many lies about George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Barack Obama, and other prominent politicians, and you don't see any of them throwing a tantrum about the lies. This woman exudes insecurity. Why is she giving anonymous bloggers so much importance? That doesn't make sense to me, but maybe because I have some confidence in myself.

Just the way she speaks--she sounds very immature and defensive. It's really sad.

I know there are rumors about her not being the mom of Trig. But if she knows better, why does she care? No one I know is still talking about this issue.

I don't see where you are getting any of that analysis at all. I don't see a tantrum; I see a very candid woman who is simply answering a question.

No of course you can see from the interview that she is throwing a tantrum! And aps is not irrational at all! Chuckle.

She's not throwing a tantrum, but she's complaining about something that just a short 5 months ago, advised Hillary (and I paraphrase), "to suck it up, and work hard."
