McCain worker arraigned in made-up assault

The Associated Press
Jan. 7, 2009

PITTSBURGH — A former John McCain campaign volunteer has been formally arraigned on a charge she falsely reported that a Barack Obama supporter robbed her and scratched a "B" on her cheek when he saw her McCain bumper sticker in Pittsburgh.

Twenty-one-year-old Ashley Todd, of College Station, Texas, has completed her first interview to enter a probation program for first-time offenders under which her record can be expunged.

Because she is trying to enter the program, she didn't enter a plea at her arraignment Wednesday in Allegheny County Court. A judge must decide if she will be accepted into the program at a hearing May 22.

Not exactly earth-shattering news, just an update on the Ashley Todd case.

I actually had just wondered what became of her. I hope she can get some counseling out of this too.

I was hopping somebody would have made up a YouTube video by now of how she was a representative of the people who voted for McCain. ;)

Which explains quite a lot actually...............:doh

I hope she'll get an offer of an entertainment correspondent somewhere out there so she can milk this "fame." :2razz:

If not, I hope she gets the help that she needs.

LOL! I was just about to make the same comment. You present yourself to national TV with lies and somehow you're a star whose invited to presidential election rallies.

Why would you hope that?
