Former President Bush touts son Jeb for top job

Former President Bush touts son Jeb for top job - Yahoo! News

Perhaps so, says former President George H.W. Bush, who has already seen one son, George W., serve in the Oval Office. The nation's 41st president said Sunday that he would like to see a second son, Jeb, be president one day.

Jeb Bush is the current president's younger brother and a former popular governor of Florida. He is mulling a run for Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Mel Martinez, R-Fla.

Asked in a broadcast interview about Jeb Bush's consideration of the Senate seat, Bush 41 said: "I'd like to see him run. I'd like to see him be president someday."

When asked if he was serious, he said: "Or maybe senator. Whatever. Yes, I would. I mean, right now is probably a bad time, because we've had enough Bushes in there. But no, I would. And I think he's as qualified and able as anyone I know on the political scene. Now, you've got to discount that. He's my son."

The former president spoke on "Fox News Sunday" in an interview that was taped Friday in Houston.

He will be at the White House on Wednesday for a lunch with President George W. Bush, President-elect Barack Obama and former Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter.
I've always wondered whether senility is really related to age. I have now come to the conclusion that it is. Not only because this aged gentleman thinks he's in his right mind when he says he'd like to see anybody else from his gene pool become president. But also because he actually thinks they'd have a flying **** of a chance in hell after what his oldest son is leaving as a 'legacy'.

What a crazy piece of crap, I mean seriously. Saying he'd like to see his son be PRESIDENT?! What kind of irresponsible, ignorant, absolutely abominable parent EVER says that about one of their off spring. He should be locked away in a looney bin because its obvious that's a sign of him being senile.

This past election has shown us that women and minorities do have the opportunity to rise to the nation's highest office. Thankfully it is still closed to people named Jeb. If America ever elects President Jeb, it will be a sad day

I'd elect to get the clap before I'd vote for another Bush in office, any office.

Parents usually love their children and don't wish upon them the hell that being president is. However--HW didn't age while in office like his son has....maybe he was sheltered...

Jeb Bush, former Governor of Florida. I'd vote for him just to piss liberals off. Just kidding. No, I think we have had enough of the Bush family Id like to see Louisana Governor Bobby Jindal (R) run for president in 2012.

Let's say you're walking down the street and one man calls you a prostitute. You should kick his ass right? Right. Let's say on a different day you're walking down another street and another mans calls you a prostitute. You should kick his ass right? Right. Let's say on a completely different day(3rd day now, keep up) you're walking down the street. And another man calls you a prostitute. Maybe it's time to put on the lingerie and high heels. Likewise people think Bush 1st was ****ty enough to not be reelected. And his son has some of the lowest poll showings of ANY president regardless of what conservatives say. Maybe his family should get out of the president business and stick to destroying franchises and low level cronyism.
