I do and show me where any of those things violates our Constitution.
For someone using Patrick Henry's call for "Give me Liberty or Give me Death" supporting those shows a SERIOUS failing. Liberty, as Mr. Henry was referring to, was Government control of citizens. What do you think UHC is? Control, it's control over how you live. "Well, sorry siry you're heavier then the government standard, so we're gonna deny you a new hip replacement". Don't think it won't happen, take a look around at system with such in place.
Carbon Controls, again the GOVERNMENT is going to dictate the behavior of everyone. "Oh you want your AC at 68? Well the Government doesn't approve, you may only have it at 76"
So much for Liberty!
Progressive Income taxation...
Yeah, you work HARD and Earn MORE you lose more... where is your belief in Liberty now... oh yeah, that money goes to the "great good".... I'm sure Mr. Henry would just so agree with that.
And finally smoking bans in privately owned establishements... you spend your time, money and effort to run a business, but now you cannot run it as you see fit because the GOVERNMENT has denied you the Liberty to decide if you want smoking in your building, and further more those that would CHOOSE to exercise their personal liberty to either patronize or not your smoking establishment have lost that too.
You are just SUCH a champion of Liberty sir.
Don't patronize us with your opinion rather show us one Supreme Court rulling against each one of the above that violates the Constitution.
That's your fall back? Really? LOL
So in other words you have no proof at all to back up your supporting that discriminating is Constitutional but you have traveled back in time and have a sworn affidavit from Patrick Henry supporting your interpretation?
I understand what he meant, and he wasn't talking about Private Institutions... he was talking ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT.
I love people in this community who pretend to defend the Constitution of the United States only when it serves their purposes and they jump off the ship like rats in a fire when the defense of the Constitution includes things they are personally against.
You have no grasp of why Patrick Henry rallied people with "Give me Liberty or give me DEATH!" I highly doubt you grasp the Constitution, and I further that with your failing in this particular instance to stand up for this airliners right to to act as it sees fit. They acted in good faith, and have CHOSEN not to reimburse the passengers after the fact. Good for them!
That's not a Constitutional violation of anyones rights. Sorry you can't GRASP that fact.
