9 Muslim Passengers Removed From Jet

And 50 years ago you would be defending Japanese Internment on the same basis. Case closed.

There is nothing in the Japanese religion which is inherently hostile to our system of government.

Case closed.

Sadly I think it does but it's nothing personal against you. Had you noticed a bunch of religious Jews or Christians under the same circumstances you would not have reported them, right? Therefore if the motivation to report them was their religion then you were profiling them and you did make assumptions based on fear rather than fact.
When was the last time you heard of a bunch of Hasidim or Seventh Day Adventists blowing up so much as a disused Porta-Potty?

On the other hand how many times have we been treated to internet videos of abject savages slowly cutting off the heads of bound, screaming prisoners while chanting Allah Akbar?

Do try and pay attention to the world around you, it will teach you so much if you just open your eyes!

I truly doubt if anyone that would be considered typical "American" had said the same thing, no one would have reported anything.

It wasn't typical Americans who instigated a global conflict by blowing up planes and flying them into buildings. I hate that good people are inconvenienced but I would rather the occasional nine are inconvenienced by zealous vigilance than the ocassional 250 be killed because of lax vigilance.

I do think the airline should have given them priority in rebooking once they were cleared, however.

See, all I would need to motivate me to lock my doors in a darkened parking lot is the "intentive" look on the guy's face, no matter skin colour.

Yes, I agree with you. But, I second guessed myself, making myself believe I was imagining it because I'm not so full of myself so as to think that I have conquered all of my suspicion of 'other'.

And my point is that I'm not sure I want people on airplanes to second guess themselves like I did. And end up with a plane hijacked. With hundreds or perhaps thousands dead. All because of a well-intentioned (and rightly so) desire to resist racism.

The impulse that feeds racism is complex. In these dangerous times, perhaps we must recognize that, and not always operate on our idealistic notions of how we ought to be, and rather admit how we simply are, for now. And use that wisdom to be a bit safer.

I guess Christians are a bunch of savages, too.

Yes, I can't figure out why they were being such jerks about it later. To me, this is the worst part of the story.

It is to bad that people needing to fly have to go through such trouble.

The airline that kicked them off the flight should have not only re-booked them but let them fly for free.

Disgusting behavior.

Here we go. Say anything about the flaws in Islam and someone always has to say "but Christians do this." :rofl

This family was dressed in Muslim gab and had children with them. Nothing about their body language screamed "terrorist bombers". Besides being Muslim, they did not come close to fitting the profile of hijackers. The sheer mention of the word "security" have them reported, for god's sake.

Listen, I'm all for instinct, but from what I know of this case, it was not instinct that got this family reported. It was fear. And if anyone is going to be that terrified, then it's simple... don't fly.

When will all of you face the fact that Muslims, no matter how nice and good and hard working and sweet they might be, harbor in their midsts the seeds of the overthrow of our government through non-violent Jihad?

You can't just go by what you personally experience.

I would imagine that because if they let them on the plane and they even said "boo" loudly, all of the other passengers would sue the airline for allowing them on the flight.

My guess is that no one wanted to make the decision to let the Muslims fly,and it kept getting taken to a higher level.

What is the profile of the hijackers? What is the profile for suicide bombers? Is that profile consistent across the board? Are Muslim extremists incapable of escalating their conflict to a profile using women and children as suicide bombers? Oh wait...they already do that...:doh

When were you sent a video of today's Christians cutting off anyone's heads?

You know--as much as anyone here--that Christians have been guilty of doing horrible things in the name of Christianity.

You know--as much as anyone here--that Muslims have been guilty of doing horrible things in the name of Islam.

So it goes....

Clearly the Koran orders believers to dominate and claim all nations for Islam and Allah. Clearly these folks have nothing to do with that but then again they have everything to do with that.

This is exactly why the Patriot Act helped protect Muslims.

Everyone saw that the Government was taking stern measures to keep us safe so the vigilantes did not have to take things into their own hands.

But there is nothing to keep Americans from taking actions such as this every day of the week whenever and wherever possible.

That's why we need a national referendum on the matter of Islam and Jihad so that we can reach a consensus and this kind of thing won't be happening more and more.

So do you also believe that judges that are christian shouldn't try the cases of rape victem's since their religion tells them that such victems should be stoned to death?

Not on a plane. In fact, it has not been done as far as I know.

As far as profile goes, Muslim garb should not be part of the profile, IMO.

What modern day Christians have been hijacking planes and hacking off heads on Jihadi youtube?

You didn't answer any of the questions I asked you.

Besides incest, child molestation, killing of it's own, polygamy and the murder of FBI agents, I would say none that I know of.

Please provide examples and proof that these are consistent with the "Christian" world.

Also, please answer the question: what modern day Christians have you seen videos of cutting the heads off people as a political statement?
