9 Muslim Passengers Removed From Jet

No, not like that. I specifically said beheading and hijacking planes.

You can cry and caterwaul all you want about the random Christian who does something bad, but you can never prove that it was the Christian doctrine or teaching that moved them to do it. You will never hear the Pope or any other mainstream preacher call for such violence. Not true of the mullahs.

Carry on.

Again the role of the catholic church in spain and portugal is the obvious exception there

Again, we have been speaking about modern day christianity. Do try to stay on topic before you break down into hysterics.

Intelligence is measured in one way as being able to make connections between similar things.
It is also in being able to discern when two things are dissimilar.

Jeez, I am so of multiple minds about this whole issue. I can see your point here, and it reminds me of what the true intention of terrorism is: To disrupt the good functioning of a society. In our case it is a free society with certain expectations about fairness. I then begin to wonder if the terror has succeeded in its aim if we become paranoid and ready to mistreat good people because of our fear.

I think that pretty much sums it up.

I think Bin Laden succeeded on Sept 11 not because of the tragedy that happened on that day, but by the fear that has happened ever since.

Prudence doesn't equal fear. Some here seem to fear "racism" and "bigorty" more then they do actual terrorist. Such sentiments must be music to those murderers ears

The airline should have waited until after takeoff to toss them.

I think I do, actually. Fear racism and bigotry more than 'actual terrorists', that is. I think that racism and bigotry are more potent and long-lasting than terrorism for making people miserable.

And, while it may or may not be music to the murderer's ears, it doesn't make it any less true. Is that how you evaluate the truth of claims? By who you think would agree or disagree? Or do you just try to get other people to do it that way, in a manipulative manner? I am trying to figure out if you're stupid or if you think other people are.

Show me where American Muslims are out in front of the effort to expose radical Jihadists in their midsts.
To me your thinking IS the problem. American Muslims are no more responsible for potential American terrorists than anyone else. It is just downright bigoted to say they're "not out front" or that "they should do more" or that they should denounce their religious traditions etc.

Your logic, your explanation, is what's wrong. What these victims did was nothing, what people who acted against them did is wrong. Supporting the people for "alerting the authorities" is akin to supporting bigotry. Bigotry has it's root in ignorance and misconception which is an apt description of what happened at Reagan Airport.

The moral of this story is "better safe than sorry". Refunding tickets is cheaper than losing a plane and it's passengers.

The 1970s is modern enough. Not to mention that the catholic church has yet to apologise for its role in the regime. Is the Lords Resistance Army not current enough for you?

The pope has never called for suicide bombers, hijacking of planes, and mass carnage against civilians.

You fail.
Nor have American Muslims so your point is pointless.

IF you think discriminating against your fellow countrymen is justified then I think you might want to learn more about our Constitution, about our history and about right and wrong.

Actually I believe it is YOU who has given in to terrorism by living in fear and by being OK with the destruction of our Constitution.

Ever hear of "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death"? Do you disagree? Patrick Henry said it more than 200 years ago and it has stood the test of time.

When I become miraculously impressed by your failing morality, then I will take note of your opinions of how I view right and wrong.

I have absolutely no problem with profiling criminals. It was old grey haired white women or middle aged african americans who are known for hijacking planes.

It's muslims in traditional muslim garb. Sorry you have such a difficult time with the realities we face in airport security these days.

And you still fail to make any case whatsoever for this absurd notion that Christians are anywhere near as violent, worldwide, as Muslims.

Were they beheading people and posting it on youtube or hijacking planes? Did the Pope make a call for such violence and make the small conflict a "catholic" thing throughout the world? You score no points with such irrelevance.

You wanna talk about the Catholic/Protestant conflict in Ireland, too? As if that would be anymore relevant to this discussion.

I respectfully disagree. The moral of the story is that the terrorists win every time bigotry is tolerated due to their threats. Preserving our Constitution is a lot more important to me than allowing morons on a plane to shout "FIRE" which is what they did and what the Constitution does not allow.

So, the terrorists "win" when they do successfully attack us and they "win" when we enact laws that you and other characterize as bigoted and they "win" when we behave in ways that you and others believe is bigoted and they "win" when, well, will they ever lose?

I see that gnashing going on over this and yeah, I'm frustrated that this transpired, but seriously, if the terrorists can never "lose" by your lights, well, what are you proposing we do about terrorism?

No one is tolerating bigotry; only suggesting that tighter controls and good sense come first and useless idealogy over "oooh but the terrorists will win if we ________" be set aside.

Word. I'm not sure why "profiling" has gotten such a bad rap. Profiling ain't racial/ethnic screening.

Do you really expect them to stop such absurd equivalencies?

People like that poster simply hate Christians more than they hate terrorists so they take every opportunity to smear Christians. It's the same with idiots that blame all religion for terrorism when it's clear that only Muslims are waging a global terror war.

Nice personal attack...can't you post without putting someone down?

Care to show us when Muslims in traditional Muslim garb hijacked a plane in the USA? Save our Constitution and stop giving in to terrorists. Your sort of thinking is what terrorists want. They're beating you and you've been swallowed into their trap.

Do you support:

1. Universal Healthcare
2. Global Warming Carbon Controls (read cap and trade)
3. Progessive Income Tax
4. Smoking Bans in private establishments (like bars and restaurants)

Patrick Henry would laugh at you btw, what happened here was a confluence of poor decisions by those 9 people, and concerned passengers taking action. Considering this is a PRIVATELY OWNED AIRLINER your entire "Give me Liberty or Give me Death" cry is beyond pointless. The AIRLINER is exercising it's LIBERTY.

Since the FBI cleared them... and the government took no other action.. you have ZERO room to bring PH into this debate. Get a clue buddy about what great people like Mr. Henry really believed in before you go off quoting them. Cause you obviously are oblivious to the reality!@

Except that in this instance it is not a case of government denying these folks their rights, so your entire premise is flawed.

We "win" when we preserve and protect the Constitution of the United States. We lose when we allow fear to weaken our Constitution. I truly believe that we are strong enough to preserve our Constitution and defeat terrorism. You don't?

A guy claiming to be a modern liberal worried about the constitutional rights of terrorist... CLASSIC.

Shame on you for posting such crap! This post is pure evil and disgusts me. It is this sort of nasty rhetoric that brings America down. You should be ashamed of yourself for writing such nonsense.

Thank you for exposing yourself. Quite revealing. Quite a thing to write. You sound like Palin, DeLay, Rove and all the other nasties who try to divide America by using fear and hate. It won't work. Check out the three branches of government and what America voted for.

I find it horrible that you would actually post that you think any American poster here:

A. - Hates Christians
B. - Hates Christians more than they hate terrorists

Evil, nasty post you wrote, shame on you!
