It had to come, after all this country is now being ruled by the (KGB) aka FSB Mafia.
Not that the Russians have that much to be proud of, with regards to WW11 they supplied grounds for training German Troops in the 1930s.
Ok so they can be proud to have been first to put a Satellite in orbit.
They can be proud to have the largest and most corrupt criminal organization in the World.
What else can they be proud of?

They were also allies with Germany and invaded Poland and the Baltic countries at the start of WWII.

I don't really see this as surprising, considering the others that made the list. Of course, the majority of Russians (Soviets) at that time weren't really in contact with the oppressive nature of the administration, and solely experienced the incredible raising in quality of life and the massive development of the economy. Many of the older generation in the country look back nostalgically at that time as a time of enormous prosperity.

I would imagine that at the very least some 25 Million Soviet citizens would have disagreed with you.
Not forgetting the P.O.Ws returned from Germany at wars end, these were sent to the gulags.

Yes, but they are dead, and unlike elections, the dead do not contribute to opinion polls.

I love the disillusion that America could have beaten Germany without Russia. If Russia did not have Stalin they would have collapsed and conceded to Germany and we would have gotten our asses handed to us shortly after. The greatest casualties of the ETO were on the eastern front.

With respect to VODKA I would agree in part, had you said the brand 'What to do' I would have agreed whole heartedly.
With respect to Russian women, you are so so wrong.

Once I suggested you to post on Yahoo. I was wrong. I was pointed many times since that any lies and deceptions about Russia, any kind of Russo phobia are encouraged on DP, when any truth may be a subject for a swift and severe punishment. I apologize for my mistake. Carry on.

’Claims of Stalinism as dictator loses poll
Tom Parfitt in Moscow
December 30, 2008
JOSEPH STALIN was edged into third place in a nationwide poll to name Russia's greatest historical figure yesterday amid controversy over the results.
The Name of Russia project, which captivated the country for months, ended with accusations that the final tally was rigged.
More than 5 million votes by telephone, text and the internet were registered in the poll, which named Alexander Nevsky,
In second place was Pyotr Stolypin, an early 20th century prime minister and noted reformer. Stolypin, who served under the last tsar, Nicholas II, has often been lauded by Putin as a role model whose attempts to achieve stability he would like to emulate
Alexander Pushkin, the poet, came fourth’’
Translated version of http://www.amic.ru/news/90149/&dd=30&mm=7&yy=2008
The site amic.ru summed up vote «Who is the greatest hero of our history?». It was carried out under the project of "Russia" «Name of Russia. Historical Choice 2008 », causing a large number of disputes submitted to a vote on the people, and the interpretation of some historical references to them.
The list for amic.ru vote was made at the first dozen people submitted on the official site of the project. At the time of the vote it looked like this:
1.Alexander Nevsky
2. Vladimir Vysotsky
3. Yuri Gagarin

Saint Alexander Nevsky is more like a legendary figure. Most likely he is mentioned in Catholic writings under the name of Changis Chan; if one puts him and Russians on the place of Changis Chan and Tatar-Mongols too many problems and discrepancies get solved and history does not look like such a fair tale anymore. Saint Alexander Nevsky is unknown to the West today.

Vladimir Vysotsky would be more like a legendary figure, if in his time the means of recoding were the same as in Nevsky time. He is unknown to the West today.

I think this is English and, even though English is not my primary language, I usually understand it reasonably well. But just damn, I don't know what the hell you are trying to say in that outbust.

I really think Vladimir Putinazi is the next Stalin. However, I do not find what the Russians are doing as much of shock.

Russia's current government is pretty much a dictatorship in disguise.

You left out the fact that the Allies could never have won without Russia maintaining the eastern front.

You are wrong. It is not exactly English, it is an attempt to make it English.

Let me translate it into your language.

jujuman13 consistently posted only lies about Russia. I pointed to him that the lies were so primitive and charged that he should post on the Yahoo forum known as a place for very primitive posters, but not on DP. After that I was given the assurance that lies about Russia specifically are encouraged and thanked for on DP, while any truth about Russia is a subject of relentless attacks and persecution. (Look at the Vader's post for an the nearest example). Thus I have to apologize to jujuman13 for suggesting him to post on Yahoo, - since now it is clear to me that DP is as good as Yahoo.

As a rule it is more difficult for a non-native English speaker to understand a non-native English speaker, rather than for a native English speaker to understand a non-native English speaker.

The bottom line that this outburst has nothing to do to anything, - why is it so important to you? It was just an outburst and you understood that it was an outburst, what else is important?

Another part of the truth is that If Russia did not have Stalin, Germany would hardly have Hitler; and if it was not for Hitler's attack on Stalin, Europe would be speaking Russian.

With respect to Russian women, you are so so wrong.

It all depends on personal taste and what you are considering to be a woman (sexual preferences). If one prefers a woman to be short, round, hairy with a walk, a look and a voice of a sheep, Russian women would be ugly for him, and you cannot say that he is wrong. Have you ever heard about some individuals having relations with sheep, - they would certainly be disgusted by Russian women.

Instead of words you can just look, - which of them do you think would even look at your side?

Since you repeated the same basic thing in at least three threads, I though it might be something interesting. Guess not. My bad.

There are beautiful things in this life which are always relevant and they make life beautiful.
It is not like a sheep lover would agree that they are beautiful and relevant, but again it is the matter of personal preferences.

I am sorry you felt left out; this is a gallery for you:

I see that something has been lost in the translation into your language.

My posts are meant to be a subject to a reasonable objections, questions and discussion. Since you have no objections including the basic thing repeated in least three threads and no reasoning and no interest except the basic thing - why have you posted the above?

Hell if I know.

Some countries will never learn. Russia is a prime example. They don't know how to lead normal lives without corruption. Everything about that country is tainted.
