No people like me were raised under a simple concept, and I live by it: Judge a man by the merit of his character, not the color of his skin.
I also don't wallow in the past. Slavery was 150 some odd years ago, we have a black president, it's time to move on. The sooner we stomp out "well it was unfair for years" crap the better.
Yes, that was a long time ago, but civil rights issues certainly weren't.
I don't, but the culture it fosters is horrible. Period.
Then you really have no right to complain about it if it doesn't affect you. I find a lot of music distasteful, but I'm not arrogant enough to think that it shouldn't exist. I personally think country music fosters a horrible culture of ignorant, racist and homophobic rednecks in stupid clothes.
