Despite denials by Diane Lee and KMT apologists here on DP who need not be named, as I have said for months, Diane Lee is illegally holding her Legislative Yuan seat because she is a dual citizen, something prohibited by Taiwan's nationality law.

The KMT tried to hide this fact, but the DPP is bringing this out into the open. Now, KMT-apologists will say that the DPP should not have made public a "confidential document". However, these is no basis for such a document to be made confidential, and considering Ma's release of previously confidential documents, the KMT has no leg to stand on.

The count:

Five elections nullified by the courts. One dual citizen. One ex-con. Any other KMT criminals in the Legislative Yuan?

Diane Lee still claims she is not a U.S. citizen, but she has suspended her legislator privileges. However, it seems that the U.S. State Department regards the case as closed and that DIane Lee is a U.S. citizen.

She will have to give up some 100 million NT dollars in illegally garnered salaries. She may be subject to investigation on fraud allegations. I also wonder if she will be up to IRS investigations for not paying US taxes.

Still, I wouldn't be surprised if the criminal KMT finds a way to shield her for her transgressions.
