Perhaps they might next think about erecting a monument to the thousands of Russians they murdered, but wait, there are also those Christians they also murdered.
These monuments are a waste of resources, what do they achieve?
 
I for one applaud the German people in their efforts to distance themselves from their past without whitewashing it. They are publicly recognizing their wrongs and declaring their opposition to them, in contrast to Japan where there is a large revisionist push right now.
