My point is that it shouldn't matter what his name is. .
Yes, but with a name like that is does matter.

I'm glad the store refused to put his name on the cake. I hope this is just the beginning of a life of frustration for the parents. What kind of parent does that to their child?
Are you putting this article out here because you believe the store has the right, as a private business (ie not publicly owned government service), to refuse service to bigots who chose to name their child an idiotic name?
Idiotic name? I don't see anything idiotic in the name Adolph Hitler. Please expand what is idiotic in such a name.
The parents are not only nuts, they're abusive. Naming an innocent child after one of the most hated men ever is choosing a life of turmoil for him. It's utterly disgusting.
You can't even be serious. If you are, you are no better than those dumbass parents.
Hated name by whom? Do Africans have a reason to hate Adolph Hitler? Do Chinese hate Hitler? Do Colombians have a reason to hate him? Many people of the world just read history and learn about dictators, criminals and similar, but from "learning" about this man Hitler, to hate him, I think that the only ones who may keep such a negative feeling are the affected directly by his actions.
You are not giving a coherent answer here. What is idiotic in the name "Adolph Hitler"?

Why the parents of this child are dumbasses?
Why you just follow the traffic when the other drivers are running at 90mph in a 45mph route?
Take your time, think about it...
You're not comparing apples to apples on many levels. One, you didn't include Saddam's first name. It would be one thing if these loser parents named him Adolph.
Two, I don't believe anyone is more responsible for as many deaths as Hitler is.
How about its an instant way to astrocize your kid and be sure that for the rest of his life a great majority of people reading his name will instantly likely be put into an offputting mood or questionable nature in regards to him. I'd hate to see him once he gets older and heads into job interviews if he has to give his full name.
The subconsious mind can be annoying.
Not to mention the likely ridicule as a kid/adolescent.

Do blacks or people of any race have a reason to look bad to every person named "John Brooks" because the Colonel Brooks who was a slave trader and even his name is in the name (Brookland) of a metro station in Washington DC? To name a child with such a name is "abusive"?
Come on.
Let the people name their children the way they want to and accept their names the same way others accept yours.
I thought Stalin killed more.
Stop being a weenie or I won't let you slap my face with your fantastic boobs.
:rofl:rofl
Admit it--you're Adolph Hitler's father, aren't you?
You can put his name on the cake yourself.
I am American and born long after he died, I guess I have no personal reason to hate Hitler, yet I do. I find him to be one of the most horrible people who have ever lived. To honor such a man with naming your son after him, because that is what it is, is disgusting. To say only the people who were directly affected by his actions are the ones who have the negative feelings towards him is ridiculous. His actions affected millions upon millions of people and continue to do so. Come to think of it though, I have been personally affected by him. If it wasn't for him, I may not be alive. His atrocities in Poland caused my grandmother and her family to flee and come to America. So yeah, I guess now I do have the "right" to have negative feelings against him

"We reserve the right not to print anything on the cake that we deem to be inappropriate," Meleta said. "We considered this inappropriate."
Saddam Hussein killed thousands of his own people using chemical weapons. Anyone who names their kid Hussein should be sterilized.
See how dumb that sounds?
