Hated name by whom? Do Africans have a reason to hate Adolph Hitler? Do Chinese hate Hitler? Do Colombians have a reason to hate him? Many people of the world just read history and learn about dictators, criminals and similar, but from "learning" about this man Hitler, to hate him, I think that the only ones who may keep such a negative feeling are the affected directly by his actions.

Do blacks or people of any race have a reason to look bad to every person named "John Brooks" because the Colonel Brooks who was a slave trader and even his name is in the name (Brookland) of a metro station in Washington DC? To name a child with such a name is "abusive"?

    Come on.

Let the people name their children the way they want to and accept their names the same way others accept yours.

You are not giving a coherent answer here. What is idiotic in the name "Adolph Hitler"?

Why the parents of this child are dumbasses?

Why you just follow the traffic when the other drivers are running at 90mph in a 45mph route?

Take your time, think about it...

I am American and born long after he died, I guess I have no personal reason to hate Hitler, yet I do. I find him to be one of the most horrible people who have ever lived. To honor such a man with naming your son after him, because that is what it is, is disgusting. To say only the people who were directly affected by his actions are the ones who have the negative feelings towards him is ridiculous. His actions affected millions upon millions of people and continue to do so. Come to think of it though, I have been personally affected by him. If it wasn't for him, I may not be alive. His atrocities in Poland caused my grandmother and her family to flee and come to America. So yeah, I guess now I do have the "right" to have negative feelings against him

It's the symbolic meaning of that name and all it represents that is idiotic to bestow upon a child. The parents are dumbasses because they have subjected their children to a life of ridicule and abuse because of their own agendas.

I really have no idea what you're trying to say here.

Not to mention the likely ridicule as a kid/adolescent.
I think that you are correct,, however, such future events around him portrayed by you are caused by the current media in our society which won't get mature enough to "let it go", this is to say, to let some people to create feelings of hate against the person Adolph Hitler. In my case, as an example, I have no reason to hate Saddam Hussein, and I won't have bad feelings, or mockeries against any person called by such a name.

As a free society we must accept the decisions of parents to put the names to their children which they think is the best for them. The child will grow up and he will have the right to change his name...if he wants to do so.

    Admit it--you're Adolph Hitler's father, aren't you?

You can put his name on the cake yourself.

    Re: The New "American"Adolph Hitler

I think the problem here is how recent the name Hitler is in the memories of so many in the West and the commonality of Hitler as opposed to 'Hussein' or even 'Saddam'. Saddam Hussein doesn't seem like that common of a name in America but in the Middle East there are probably thousands of them. The comparisons are not really the same.
