Believe me, its that also, but mainly because of inflated prices in EVERYTHING.. You go live in norway with American wages, you would be a dirt poor man, you would live under the poverty line.

Mostly its because of competitive pressure which have driven prices for everything up beyond the imaginable.

Free stuff? I never tried.. I didn't get rest and people were assholes who never had time for anything. I dont want to pay 150$ for 4-5 bags of groceries when I can pay 25 for the same stuff in sunny Spain. Comparing wages to prices you get a better deal here, aside from this place being a tax haven.

People in Europe can take care of them self after 20hours of work, after 40 hours they live enormously comfortable, there is no need to work more than that, but they can work overtime up to 48 hours on regular contracts if they feel like it. Its only fair then that they put some efforts into working more than 48 hours.. If you want to work such slavish hours, whats the problem about doing some extra hours of paperwork for it?

soon my man, eventually none of you will afford to work less than that.

In the other thread you did answer. You told me that unions and workers were indeed weak and stupid.

Why does one have to fill out paper work to work? Why does it have to be a pain in the ass to try to live by the sweat of your brow and to improve yourself and your work? Why should the government be involved if one wants to put in the work to be the best? There's nothing wrong with any of that.
You know the time is right to take control, we gotta take offense against the status quo

Well, because Euros like Maximus knows what is best for you. He's the guy that will be knocking on your door saying, "Hello, I'm the government and I am here to help you." It's fascism, of course, a kinder, gentler version, but fascism nonethless.

For Maximus, individuals really don't know how to care for themselves so the government must be there getting involved in everything.

Fascism is best recognized as a police state, as such the US is far more fascist than Europe. Also the corporations have strong "ball grip" on the US government, another trait, corporate governance.

I like state protection and socialism.. I feel good knowing that my taxes goes towards helping the weak rather than fighting wars.

Whats slavery about having the state pay for nanny services, kindergarten, house maid for people with children and so on?

Whats slavery about protecting the weak? Thats rather anti-slavery unlike not protecting the weak like is the case in the US.
