Um..how could it possibly be? You are aware of what the Boston Tea Party was and what it represented, right? I can't believe anyone would honestly try to put these two events in the same category.

I don't know if I'd make a bet like that. There are a lot of people in Iraq who are just happy that Saddam is gone even though the war hasn't gone how they wanted. Regardless, it's still quite an absurd comparison. In my opinion, trying to compare someone throwing shoes at our President during a press conference to a very revolutionary and significant moment in our history only shows to me that you don't value it that much or have a poor understanding of it.

What do you think is a bigger act? Assulting tea leaves or presidents?

It's the symbolism and the significance of the event that matters and I would say that the Boston Tea Party is far more significant than throwing shoes at the President.

To some of these people it isn't.

YouTube - ABC (MSM) hails shoe-thrower as "folk hero"

    Again. To me. It is.

I wonder if any rich men bought any tea crates as a relic.

(Just found this.. And just like I thought it would. It's spreading. )

I never said that he wouldn't be viewed as a hero by some. I'm only saying that I think it's absurd to compare it to something like The Boston Tea Party.
