This is an idiotic statement at best. Immigration is a good thing, it bring innovation and a steady work force. It does not necessarily carry with it cultural destruction or ethnic destruction. It can if illegal immigration isn't carefully monitored and controlled, but it's not innate to immigration in and of itself. That statement quoted above is nothing more bigotry and xenophobia.

As I said, there's nothing innate to immigration which makes it bad. It can be made bad through certain practices. For instance, in France they don't like Muslims. The Muslims whom immigrate are not given opportunity for assimilation. Instead they are purposefully kept in the poorest section and purposefully kept out of opportunity to raise themselves out of the poorest section and purposefully kept out of full interaction with the society. The socialist structure of France makes it impossible for "outsiders" to get any sort of decent job. They are kept poor and kept isolated from the rest of society which actively prevents their assimilation. As such, you get the problems that they currently have.

Immigration is a necessity to a healthy state, pure and simple. There has to be mechanisms for assimilation into the society, there has to be interaction. But immigration drives innovation. Otherwise you stagnate, and stagnation is slow death. There is nothing which is innate to immigration which makes it a bad thing. Policy, bigotry, and xenophobia can turn it into a bad thing; but it's not an innate nature of immigration itself.

Go sell cultural dilution and immigration garbage in the backward lands where outsiders are restricted and the status quo of outsiders has no interest in abiding or residing; it is a one way compromise - pay attention.

Hmm...seems to be someone not reading.

Immigration is a good thing, it's a necessary thing. There are factors which can make it go badly. Policy, social structure, economy, etc. But there's nothing innate to immigration itself which makes it bad. In fact it is necessary for a healthy state. You have to ensure the system is set up to help proper assimilation into the society, but immigration drives innovation. We in some part must have it.

Wow...this is one of the bigger piles of crap I've had the misfortune of coming across.

You're diluting yourself if you think you can live without immigration in some part. You're fooling yourself if you think that some amount of diversity and new ideas can't drive innovation. You're a fool if you think that the whole of immigration will ruin a country.

Immigration in general is a necessity. Stagnation is slow death, that's fact. Xenophobia is irrational fear that only harms society. Depending on how you regulate and allow immigration, it can be of great benefit and any healthy nation will have it. That's the end all be all of it. Xenophobia is not a good thing.

I know we in the US were ALL immigrants at one time, but we all accepted a common culture...American culture. The ones coming in now do NOT want American culture. They want their own, and it's in conflict with ours. If they don't like the way things are here, then they need to get the hell out and go back where they came from. And I'm talking mostly about illegals, so they don't belong here anyway.

That is why I said that there needs to be policy in place. Illegal immigration must be regulated and controlled, you can't allow it. Proper assimilation into society takes a regulated and controlled legal immigration policy wherein the immigrants are allowed access to the society as a whole. Where they can interact with the rest of us, where they can participate in the economy, where they can learn the ideals and culture of America. In this way you can bring in immigrants to the country, expand on our own base and capabilities, and encourage proper assimilation into the culture.

Xenophobia is a fabrication, an attempt towards deception, an appeal to shame and guilt as political correctness, in order to compromise endemic peoples of their identity and resources.

Foreigners are not feared or disliked, they are appreciated for the benefits they offer, and are welcome to the benefits they receive, which all are expected to take with them and return to their land of origin so that the improve skills may be implemented for the development of their own peoples.

That is distinct from immigrants arriving, remaining, demanding, and returning nothing to which they came.
