Joe the Plumber: "McCain appalled me"

Whatever you say Jallman....lets just let those who have followed along over the last several months be the judge.
Like that 57 state comment of Obama. How'd you miss that one, and they call Palin stupid.

What kills me is how angry you get whenever anyone criticizes her. It's over the top, IMHO.
People should be angry when she is attacked, she was asked to represent John McCain and, the Republican brand, and the United States as v.p. she did not ask for this. Palin campaigned to the best of her ability, and she is taking way to much crap about things that are either irrelevent, or incorrectly represent her, and it is insulting, she seems to be a very good person.

She was very divisive when she was out campaigning. More than half of the voting people voted for Barack Obama. Why go out there pissing people off by making derogatory remarks about anyone who doesn't agree with you? It's why she and McCain lost, IMO. Her being as divisive as she was made her target for criticism.

That is a fair opinion to have if that is the way you see it, I am talking about the attacks made up to make her look stupid, out of touch, the attacks based on regionalism, etc. Your opinion is just that, and you are more than entitled to it, no questions asked.

What made her look ignorant to me was her own responses, not what other people said about her.

I dont understand your question...?

Disneydude asked "Why won't these people just fade into oblivion," and you answered "As soon as you guys let them go." Were you both talking about Palin?

why is that guy so ok with having been a fake political gimmick.

How was this fake “political gimmickry?” When I watched the news media following Obama through a neighborhood, I saw Obama approach "Joe the plumber," not the other way around.

Perhaps you mean when Obama was walking around shaking hands he was engaging in "fake political gimmickry?"

After Joe expressed his concerns and views, he was then attacked by the mainstream media in an effort to impugn someone who dared to question Obama's whacky economics; was the media engaging in "political gimmickry?"

Perhaps the political gimmickry is in the minds of rabid partisans like yourself who carelessly avoid facts to support their warped and distorted political views?

One thing is certain, reality is NOT your friend. :2wave:

I was talking about people like Disneydude, who started the thread.
The only people that keep bringing up Joe the Plumber, et al, are people like him.

That is classic,.... start a thread on someone then whine about others not letting it go.... :rofl

Maybe Joe shouldn't put himself in the media than maybe people wouldn't be posting about him.....However with the book deal Joe has an interest in being in the public eye so I doubt this is last time people wil be posting about him.

He was playing football in his neighborhood and was approached by the now president elect, how was he looking for media attention?

Apparently, you (collectively) can't ignore him -- and so whose fault is it that he's not going away?

Really? hmmmm I didn't realize that. My bad:3oops:

Yeah, like someone who would write posts ranting that "liberals are genetically predisposed to being thuggish assholes without an ounce of dignity or class between the lot of them."

Would you just give it a rest? Jesus Christ, I don't see how anyone stays that butt-hurt for that long over an internet forum. Not very "irie" if you ask me.

I guess the truth hurts...

Didn't the reports of Palin not knowing that Africa is a continent come from within the McCain campaign? I have vague memories of FOX reporting on it.

And I don't remember any news stations outright saying Palin is stupid. Not up to par with the debating and respone skills of her counterparts, yes, but not stupid. People decided she was stupid from her poor peformance in the debate and her poor interview performances.

Do you have any links to people who are making these claims? I haven't seen them. There are a lot of "Liberal" minded people on this forum that I have great respect for; they are at least HONEST in their partisanship and don't blather this forum with lies and ignorance.

Please show me who these Conservatives are that claim: "liberals are genetically predisposed to being thuggish assholes without an ounce of dignity or class between the lot of them."

I guess you missed the follow ups:

Palin Didn't Know Africa Was a Continent Source a Hoaxster

Turns out the most ridiculous and generic "dumb polack joke"-style accusation about the dimness of Sarah Palin's bulb--that she thought Africa was a country, not a continent--was probably from an interesting and amusing hoax advisor to the McCain campaign--from the nonexistent "Harding Institute for Freedom and Democracy"--going by the phony name (which is also the real name of another minor D.C. policy dude, unrelated to the hoax nope, there is a minor policy dude named "Michael Eisenstadt") of "Martin Eisenstadt."

The New York Times has the details, including some earlier lies he had told (and been caught up on).

The front "Harding Institute" site, with the brilliantly conceived line: "Welcome to the homepage of The Harding Institute for Freedom and Democracy. A Washington-area think-tank in the truest sense of the words...."

"Eisenstadt" on YouTube.
