Nobody could be that hated for not answering Katie Couric about what they read. It was about the abortion issue and feminism. But that would come off badly if people said they hated her for not thinking women should kill their babies, so they vented their outrage at this phony "she's a dummy" idea.

Although I have read comments that she should have aborted her child with Downs syndrome.

It has left me completely disgusted with the far left.

She doesn't enrage anybody, she's just dumb. And the reason for all the youtube videos is that her idiocy is funny.

Sorry, but it's really not more complicated than that. It's like participating in a thread started by Rick: nothing important is at stake, but making fun of him is just sort of amusing.

At least, I can afford to feel that way now since she's no longer a viable candidate. I was initially going to vote for "Big Bird," but then she was put forth as the vp candidate, and she was so retarded I had to vote for Obama.

Exactly. Who the hell cares about what Joe the Plumber has to say, apart from his knowledge on unblocking toilets? He's entitled to his opinion, but I don't see why it should be national news.

I'm sorry, Jall, but that's the first thing that came to my mind when I first heard her speak. I'm aware that there are more important issues, but honestly, I have to turn the volume down when she speaks. It's like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I don't think for a minute that she's dumb. Quite the contrary, I think she's quite smart, actually. Having said that, I don't think she has the experience and knowledge needed for the position she was nominated for. Maybe the next time around, I don't know. But she certainly has some homework to do.
 
Palin sounded EXACTLY like the people in Fargo. She said all their little words with exactly the same dialect. I think it's a cute little accent.

I don't think she is dumb either. I do think her knowledge base is very limited though and hindered by her extreme religious beliefs.

The election had nothing to do with conservative vs. liberal for me. It was all about keeping the village idiot out of power.

They hate Rummy, Cheney, and maybe even Bush. I don't go to DU. Maybe they do hate her. I don't see why. I can see being astonished that people support her, but not hate. You may be right.

Some abortion activists on both sides are nuts. She gave the perception that she is a dummy. She recited slogans and attacks and even acknowledged that she was refusing to answer questions.

Her's is actually worse than peoples from Fargo actually are. There's still a bit of elongating the "oh" sound like Minnesoooota or South Dakooota, but other than it's just like any other Midwestern accent. Palin's is something completely different.
