He has majority support, I doubt he's going anywhere.

Yeah because Chavez is much more of a threat than North Korea or Iran

No, because he's trying to tyranize by becomming emporer of his country.

This is unacceptable. He needs to be stopped. Period.

No... it's because he wants to control the oil that the U.S. cares at all. Dictators don't just get tossed out by the powers willy nilly... there has to be something in it for us.

I guess you have no problem with Saudi Arabia, Iran, or North Korea's leadership right? Like I said, there are far bigger fish to fry before Chavez that is for sure.

The global economy will be dealing with this small minded despot soon enough. Chavez and other oil export dependent nations are starting to feel the pinch as oil drops well below $50.00 a gallon.

Chavez can only stay in power by BUYING the votes of his ignorant masses. With inflation spiraling up due to his moronic economic policies, the ability to BUY these voters is diminishing and as things get worse, his popularity with the ignorant masses will fall and with it, his regime.

Just be patient; it always happens with thugs like these and Chavez is just repeating the history of South American thugs.

He only has that support as long as he can BUY it. Those days are rapidly coming to an end with out of control inflationary pressures and lack of anything else to support a collapsing economy.

Chavez is a thug dictator wannabe and is blatantly trying to overthrow the Constitutional Government in Venezuela to stay in power; he sees the writing on the wall. As the oil market collapses around him, he will have only one recourse; the use of FORCE. That is always last desperate measure of a thug and dictator.
