At least 82 killed as gunmen rampage in India city

The hostages at the Jewish center have all been killed, including two children. Several Indian police officers have been killed, including the chief of their anti-terrorist unit. It's been a horrible tragedy for the people of Mumbai.

India is now outright stating that the terrorists came from Pakistan; Pakistan is flat denying it (how they can deny it, I don't know, since the guys spoke Pakistani... but apparently the Pakistani government is sticking with the "if we don't admit it, it doesn't exist" school of thought.)

The ramifications of this tragedy could be huge. I feel terrible for the people of India. This really is their "9-11". :(

Update:
Troops search Mumbai siege hotel

Troops have been searching through Mumbai's Taj Mahal hotel, hours after an assault ended a bloody three-day siege there.

Commandos went room-to-room to check for casualties, while small blasts were heard from controlled explosions.

A military commander said three militants were killed in the final gun battle, which ended early on Saturday.

Militants attacked the hotel and other targets on Wednesday night, in violence that left at least 195 people dead.

Witnesses spoke of a scene of destruction at the Taj Mahal hotel, parts of which had been ablaze during the siege.

That's quite a pompous presumption. Of course I don't blame every Muslim, or Muslims at all. I blame Al Qaeda for it.

What annoyed me was the rolling-eyed implication that we should basically get over it and not still be angry that a bunch of radical lunatics flew planes into our buildings and killed thousands of our people. Yeah, I'm mad about it and I'll NEVER not be mad about it.

How many people around the world have died because of Islam since 9/11?

Do I blame them all? No But I expect them to retake their religion. Is that too much to ask?

But really this is all just talk right? Wait until Pakistan falls to the extremist.

That has nothing to do with me personally or my beliefs. If you want to know what I think, try asking me instead of telling me.

Yes it is too much to ask.

It would be like you asking all those under the Christian churches, when the church was in charge, to take back their religion when they were peasants and the church was fully armed.

And so observers in the Middle East hone in on your brand of radicalism, and brand the whole West, including moderates such as myself, as evil that must be fought. Do you see how this is a two way street?

Both sides are contributing to the problem.
