Trump to sign executive order to build wall.

Both of the political establishment parties in this country for the past two decades or so disagree with you, and as liberals would tell you, most economists. So... the hell with it --- we're not going to even bother paying it back in my lifetime so why do I care? Is my being bothered by it going to change anything - no. Can I personally change it - no. Is my vote able to change federal spending - no. Am I willing to create and foster a group that would get big enough to change fiscal policy in this country - no.

So go fund PBS. I thought the Ford Foundation and "public viewers like you" help support public broadcasting - at least that's what they always say every time they have fund raisers. :shrug:

An executive order won't build a wall. If anti-Americans in office tell him to piss off no wall then the wall does not get built.

Conservatives believe in the rule of law and personal responsibility while liberals are for anything goes and government wiping every nose

So you're bitching because Trump took the steps to make the wall happen, but since it hasn't right this second, and could technically not happen because of forces beyond his control might stop it??

We should stop a lot of foreign aid/gifts. Along with corporate subsidies that cost us trillions/year.

Let me know when you want to cut something that matters.

Considering the fact pro-illegals in office have repeatedly lied and failed to get adequate number of border agents a wall will be great assistance to our border agents.

Probably because you misunderstand why people bitch about that. You have a warped and incorrect view of the situation because you're too caught up in the belief the high horse you're on gives you the power to look down and spew hate at those you willfully misunderstand.

Wouldn't the rule of law and personal responsibility include doing more to enforce actual laws than to try and build a widely expensive wall that isn't guaranteed to do a damn thing?

If you believe in this wall so much, convince me. What's your argument and how do the pros outweigh the cons? We have an order to build a wall, but where is the plan showing us this is a long term effective way to combat drugs and illegal immigration?

Then why do people bitch about it? What's your problem having a breakfast and lunch program at schools? And then on the flip side, why do you support a wall? What exactly is the wall going to do?

On my side, I don't want kids to go hungry and I don't mind my tax money going to feed them. I have not seem one plan for this wall that convinces me this is a long term good investment to control illegal immigration and the drug trade. There is not even a cost estimate at this time, nothing but the order to build it!

I would consider ending the food stamp program and feeding the kids 3 meals a day at the school cafeteria as long as the adults didn't see a penny of the money

An executive order won't get the wall built. It won't get the funds for the wall, the money to hire the architect and engineers,the people to acquisition the land needed for the wall, the contractors and construction workers,permits and anyone or anything else needed to buy a wall. If enough anti-Americans in office told him no wall then the wall will not get built.
