Hundreds of Thousands Protest Presidency in Celeb-studded March

I heard reported on NPR that this protest group wouldn't allow a pro-life group to march with them. Well, so much for inclusiveness. We'll include you only if we approve of your beliefs.

Believe whatever you want, but the facts say otherwise.

No, they don't. The facts show that men (as a whole) make more money than women (as a whole). To take that statistic and say that that means women are being treated unfairly is over-simplifying the facts to suit an agenda. You have to take into account the numerous reasons WHY men make more than women -- different careers, different levels of education, more/less hours, etc.

Also - basic economics. If a CEO can legally get away with paying women 30% less than men, he'd be hiring women like crazy because it would mean more money for the company.

Also -- where are all the lawsuits brought by these women making less than men? They'd make a killing.

Never bet against a sitting president.

I was smart enough not to predict a trump victory in 2016

Dont you be dumb and bet the rent money on a trump loss in 2020

I didn't and won't bet the rent money on anything.

And we will see how he responds to this. Millions of people around the country and the world, expressing concern regarding our direction and leadership.

The marches were larger and more numerous than expected and for anyone clueless enough not to know what they were about, they were about Trump. The D.C. crowd was more than twice the 200,000 it was permitted for and which organizers anticipated. There were a quarter million in New York, more than 100,000 in Boston and Chicago, large demonstrations in Atlanta and other cities in the South, dozens more across the nation, protest marches as well in countries around the globe. We'll see if anything lasting comes from it. Michael Moore among others called for reorganized Democratic Party opposition to Trump and the Republican Party that once spurned him and is now owned by him. This is one way movements begin. So, yeah, we'll see.
Damn.

I was a Bernie supporter, detested Hillary, and have not been a member of the Democratic Party for many years - despite often voting Dem.

Like the Trumpeters, I too was waiting for a little revolution in this country, but Trump ain't it.

However, if the Dems can come around to embrace the 'throw-out the old guard' cry, I'll not only become a card-carrying member, but will consider organizing once again! What the hell, let's make it like 1973. We ended the war, and threw the bum out!

(But minus the 1973 era violence. We don't need ilk like the old SDS. If anything, we need more like Dr. King and the women we're watching on our TVs today)

I don't see this lasting any more than four years either.

Every one should be on the alert and prepared to be on the attack when necessary. Luckily, now the black helicopters all say trump on the side.

Trump has to be loved and this ain't it big time. This may be his first test of his metal. To see how he responds. Does he lash out and condemn or does he acknowledge and calm?
It's interesting to note the Manic Tweeter-in-Chief has fallen strangely silent, today.

I don't see the problem with there being two movements in this country, and apparently Trump doesn't either. That or he's too busy partying to care. His day one hasn't started yet so...

Though from reading some of these comments today, some of his supporters would like him to squash them with a bomb.

It will not be business as usual while trump is in the white house.

He didn't run for president to sit on his ass and do nothing

And the more he does the more opposition there will be

The the protests by lefties are only going to grow
One can only hope.

We'll see if the reality of what he's seeing, can break through the delusional narcissism of this petulant man-child.

Did you see his ranting in front of the 'Fallen CIA' wall? I swear he looks unstable. Literally unstable, irrational, and delusional.

Believe whatever you want, but the facts say otherwise.

The "wage gap" is derived by adding up all the income earned by all men in a given year, and comparing that total to the total income of all women in that same year.

It doesn't take anything else into account.

When appropriate adjustments, and apples-to-apples comparisons, are factored in, the "wage gap" disappears.

I imagine he is probably pissed about the marches. It seems like something he would take very personally. Also SNL is on soon.

No, didn't see the ranting. What happened? Was it a speech he gave or an off the mic thing?

That was an amazing screw-up, that can have fatal implications if this movement is to evolve & grow as an anti-Trump movement, vs as a Women's Right's movement.

This today, was both.

But if it is to grow large enough to become politically effective on the scale of a Presidential election, it will have to become more inclusive IMO.

I did watch his remarks at the CIA HQ and Trump seemed perfectly rational to me

Except that I don't think he likes that obama flunky brennen as much as he does the rest of the Agency

Day after Trump sworn in, hundreds of thousands protest presidency in celeb-studded march | Fox News

His name? Anyway, where were these women when the democrats were choosing a nominee or running a woman for President? Why arent they marching on the middle east where women really dont have equal rights?

I guess this is a good stress outlet for people who lost the election, though. Nothing wrong with protesting, even if it changes nothing.

Annnnnnd he's still our President so how did that work for them?

The "bums" were the democrats. They started and escalated the Vietnam war.

I found him to be totally unPresidential, narcissistic, self-centered, and out-of-touch with the reality of where he was standing or what he was saying.

Rather than solemnly acknowledge those that gave their life in service behind him, he petulantly talked about himself and how he has been wronged. It's all about him.

I swear, I think the guy is off. Not just because I don't like him, but because he really seems off.

But, mainly because you don't like him, right?

It's horror at having such a sorry excuse for a human being elevated to such a position of power.

I know...just think how much worse it would have been with the human filth that is Hillary.

Trump has slammed and insulted the various intelligence agencies for months.
Recently he changed his opinion, and a minor change at that

He stood in front of the wall of the CIA fallen, and went on a rant about the usual "how everyone is against me".

I swear, watching it he looks off to me. Really off. It was not Presidential at all.

I think the same thing about him. He has a personality disorder of some kind. I once heard that he took his first wife skiing, and she went in front of him and did something a little fancy. He was so upset that he walked down the slope and said, "don't ever do that when you're with me again."

He can't handle being second best to somebody.
