Biden awarded presidential Medal of Freedom

It's obvious Pres. Obama believed Joe Biden went considerably above and beyond the "common" with his service. That was my point about them being friends, which isn't really the right word. From what I've heard and read for 8 years now, they have a very unique relationship and Biden is someone Obama both values as an advisor and trusts completely, which in D.C. is a "big f'ing deal."

Nobody is yet to answer my question::::how was supporting the action in Iraq critical to our national security and bringing about world peace?

The award isn't about "give it to my friend". Nobody can articulate any sort of exceptional behavior from Biden other than "being on the government dole for 40 years". There are literally thousands of people who have been in the government bureacracy for as long as Biden.

Obama does feel it is warranted, and that is fine, but I grow weary of the "you don't know" angle (generic comment, not just here), because really you don't either. You're just going by what you've heard and read, and apply that to your belief system, as well.

As seen by the CIA, "you don't know" just amounts to "the justification is flimsy and we'd rather not make it public".

Liberals love themselves some participation trophies.

My spider sense is telling me that trying to justify the award with you will be pointless.

But just for grins, here's the criteria - "an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors." So it's very open ended and I have no idea what your question about Iraq has to do with anything. And the bottom line is it's the "Presidential.... " and POTUS clearly believes that Biden's service to the country, and I imagine especially over the past 8 years, was extraordinary. I don't know about his service, but he's served his country with distinction, appears to be a fine person and husband, father and grandfather, and I can't see objecting to him getting an a award that costs nobody anything and only serves to reward him.

You're partisan assessment of my opinion based on personal animosity means absolutely nothing.

Since that's not what happened and your post is further evidence of your lack of self-assessment skills, your comments are irrelevant.

You comments, motivated by partisan hatred are absolutely worthless.

Your post is a cyber-staph infection, or a digital version of the clap.

Now, now, apdst. All I was doing was pointing out the complete partisan hackery of the first post that I quoted. I understand that you are in completely denial of this hackery, but I'm always here to help and pointing it out always gives the opportunity for you to learn from your errors. Since you don't seem to want to do that, I will leave you to the hackery that you like to post.

I'm simply responding by pointing out your own hackery and personal animosity. Perhaps you should choose yor battles more wisely in the future?

I'm fine with choosing this battle, since I am 100% correct. It's you that should make better choices about the battles that you choose.

He's just another piece-o-**** Liberal asshole.

LOL, that was your comment. Doesn't much matter what you think of his policies, but from what I know he's a good guy, loves his wife and kids and grandkids, no hint of him using the office for personal gain, well liked by his colleagues on both sides. Can you tell us why you think he's a piece of **** or an asshole, other than you disagree with him politically?
