This is the problem. Republicans have done this for a while. They either appoint someone who can enrich the people supposedly "regulated" by a government body, or they appoint someone so blatantly inept that they run said agency into the ground, at which point they can say "government doesn't work."

I scanned through Warren's 35 questions and couldn't help notice the citations she had listed at the bottom of each page. How many far left Progressive Machine entities were listed, as if their "findings" held any truth?

Center for Budget and Policy Priorities? Funded and promoted by George Soro's and his Democracy Alliance. Urban Institute? The list goes on and on.

I hope E. Warrens pathetic and self serving display of arrogance and intolerance gets all the attention it deserves.

To channel the invective of the indoctrinated on the left, how racist does E. Warren need to confirm she is before voters send her packing.

I have tried debating you on economic numbers but you ignore anything that doesn't come from an op ed piece and isn't put into context. You want to talk about the success of a stimulus when BLS, BEA tell a different story. You want to talk about saved jobs when there is no verifiable credible that captures those numbers. I'm sorry. I'm trying to work up some outrage over the appointment process, but after the very far left appointees we saw in 2009 I can't quite find the will for it. When the President controls the House and the Senate and appoints people that aren't completely incompetent, they are probably going to get the job.

Carson was qualified enough to run for President, he is qualified enough to run HUD.

Not exactly sure what your point is but let me give you a couple numbers that are reality. When the recession began the U-6 unemployment rate was 8.5% and today it is 9.4%. African American unemployment was 8.5% and it is now 7.8%. Unless you post BLS or BEA data in context nothing really matters.

As for the article I posted did you watch the ABC News special? If not why not? Why is it that Biden stated that the Democratic Party lost touch with its base? Why is it that so many union workers, hourly employees, coal miners, and other middle class workers voted for Trump? You think they paid any attention to the Russian hacking? No, they voted their pocketbook, the special was on the plight of the Middle Class and had you watched it you would understand why Obama's record isn't what you want to tout

Do you realize what a mess politicians and bureaucrats have made of this country. Trump is showing the leadership that the left never has understood which is why they continue to prop up people like Obama, Hillary, Warren. I see only positives in changing the status quo that created out stagnant GDP, 20 trillion dollar debt, and PC society

He was running against someone almost as unpopular; he lost the popular vote; he had the lowest electoral college margin in decades.

Trump did not finish strong. He limped across the finish line, and mostly due to large numbers of voters who didn't pay attention, and decided in the last week or two.

Doing things like appointing incompetent cronies, and handing over the government to Wall Street, is also unlikely to endear him to the public.
