Can someone remind me...were people this starry eyed about Obama before he even took office? I mean, were people on here having orgasms about things, and how great he was, and how much he had done, a week before he even took office and was able to do anything?

It's disturbing to see the wide eyed, sappy devotion to the reality TV star who hasn't done much besides criticizing our intelligence community, getting into war of words with Meryl Streep, and telling you that you can say Merry Christmas.

Creepy.

Well, anyway, I hope Carson gets this job because I think he would do a fine job at it.

Click on the link I posted in this forum about the middle class the last 8 years under Obama and how it was their plight, not the Russians that cost Hillary the election. Obviously you aren't paying any attention to what is going on in Trump Towers with the parade of executives as well as results from those meetings about employment, jobs returning to this country, and the fact that Trump finally is someone who will deal with businesses instead of catering to them like Obama did. That's not what she asked dude. She asked him if could guarantee that no federal money would find it's way into Trump family interests. Carson avoided and stonewalled and offered nothing credible in the way of an answer. Where Carson grew up has zero to do with the question.

He has lowered the cost of the new Air Force One, Lowered the cost of the Lockheed A-35, brought Sprint, Lockheed jobs to this country, kept Carrier from leaving and has put together one of the best cabinets I have ever seen and that is being overlooked by people like you who want to buy the leftwing propaganda

Being able to administer an extreme large organization for one. On the other hand, when it comes to potential for disaster, HUD is one of the least risky departments.

that is a very timely question to ask the prospective head of HUD. tRump owns properties which might qualify to receive federal housing dollars from HUD

and Carson used that question to demonstrate how astute he is. sharing with the committee an unwillingness to deprive eligible citizens HUD benefits only because those expended federal monies might end up in tRump's pocket was the perfect response. or would the debate politics denizens prefer the citizens who needed housing assistance be denied it because tRump would deservedly receive the money as the property owner

Millions grow up in single parent low income households - a world Carson has been removed from for a very long time. It doesn't make any one of them qualified to run a federal agency so what makes Carson's sob story different?

and possibly, this is the underlying reason why i like Carson's appointment so much. he is the reluctant appointee. Carson was himself concerned that his background did not adequately lend itself to being an effective agency head. normally, what we see are persons who want the power and authority of being an organizational leader; not because of what they can accomplish but because they will have rare power and authority. i much prefer having someone who is genuinely concerned about what (s)he can accomplish heading a governmental agency. someone who wants to accomplish things with that power and authority beyond 'owning' it
