Trump Invokes 'Fake News' at Press Conference[W:358]

Re: Trump Invokes 'Fake News' at Press Conference

I do wonder if this isn't a little intelligence blow back for all the insults and crap Trump has been giving them for trying to do their jobs over the Russian hacking thing.

Re: Trump Invokes 'Fake News' at Press Conference

This is disturbing to alpha males. I wish I had never read that.

Fear not, snowflake. Once you learn that you can never be alpha like me; you will give up trying and focus all your effort on finding your Trump nation hero checks that you were promised with dear leader's victory. I hear they'll be sent out when Trump is finished building the wall with your money.

It's funny that you would be disturbed on behalf of "alpha males". You must study them very closely to know their feelings so... um, intimately. Is your BF an "alpha"?

Re: Trump Invokes 'Fake News' at Press Conference

Well, this morning CBS News and former CIA deputy director Michael Morell said it was from an MI6 report.

Morell and Dickerson on unverified intel claims on Russia, Trump - Videos - CBS News

And look at all the evidence they provided. Oh wait they provided no evidence that it came from MI6 save for the claim made in the memo itself.

And your own source readily admits that Morell is a Hillary surrogate:

Michael Morell, former CIA acting director and deputy director who supported Hillary Clinton for president,

Re: Trump Invokes 'Fake News' at Press Conference

Because I readily admit that Eric Bolling is a pundit not a journalist unlike Chris Wallace, Brit Hume, or Bret Baier.

Chris, Brit, and Hume try to be journalists, but they still can't hide their leftness.

Re: Trump Invokes 'Fake News' at Press Conference

Lol a 4 minute clip with Pam Gellar on one of their conservative commentary shows? So then you admit that Jake Tapper is a leftwing commentator and not a journalist? Because I readily admit that Eric Bolling is a pundit not a journalist unlike Chris Wallace, Brit Hume, or Bret Baier.

Dude, you said "prove it" and I proved it - twice.

What has Jake Tapper got to do with this? He was with ABC.

Re: Trump Invokes 'Fake News' at Press Conference

I think the majority of people on this thread are confused as to what fake news is. Of course, they are eating right out of Trump's hand, but... If a network gets something wrong, or colludes with someone or some party, that is not "fake." Those are serious concerns that the public should separate from the actual fake news that goes around the internet. It's not like Trump has ever gotten anything wrong in his life or potentially colludes with other people that are shady... Jeez it's like you people don't even understand your own hypocrisy!

Trump is not a journalist and does not claim to be. Journalists as opposed to tabloid gossip columnists are supposed to verify claims before they spread them.

Glorious isn't it. I start every day by reading Trump's Twitter. I laugh hysterically, then begin crying and rock myself in the fetal position until I feel better. Then I read what the Trumpanzees think about all this and end up in the fetal position again.

Well, Hillary losing is some consolation.

Really? After writing this?:

Oh yea, there's this too:

Then I read what the Trumpanzees think about all this and end up in the fetal position again.

C'mon....

Re: Trump Invokes 'Fake News' at Press Conference

Dude, you said "prove it" and I proved it - twice.

There is a difference between journalists like Chris Wallace and commentators like Sean Hannity at least there is supposed to be but it has become abundantly clear that the gossip tabloid outlet CNN makes no such distinction.

What has Jake Tapper got to do with this? He was with ABC.

Lol you don't even know what Jake Tapper had to do with this? Really? He's the one who broke the story on CNN, he does not label himself a commentator like Bolling.

They haven't had a chance to look at it yet dude. And Mike made a big thing of leaving his current affairs to support Hillary, because he said that a Trump presidency would be disastrous for this country. He has maintained his completely credibility, and he didn't say this report was true. Neither did CBS News, but this whole Trump /Russia thing is getting weirder by the day. So, we'll wait to see what comes of this report.

That's another instance of showing you that you're wrong on this. Perhaps you should read a bit and then post.

Trump invokes 'fake news' at press conference

Mike Snider | USA TODAY

President-elect Donald Trump brought his campaign against what he considers fake news to his first major press conference since winning the election.

Trump invokes 'fake news' at press conference

And he is absolutely correct it is CNN that is inappropriate. They have already been shown conclusively by wikileaks to have actively colluded with the DNC and Clinton campaign and now they spread this libelous smear campaign, it is absolutely disgusting and if I were Trump I would revoke their White House press credentials and never answer one of their questions and have a standing order for my entire administration for the same. CNN SUX!!!

I wonder if they will have a seat in the WH press room.

I loved the fact he made the point the press is irresponsible... can and do destroy people with BS... and then trod off to the next target.

Buzzfeed was way off base as far as journalistic standards go publishing an unverified list of such claims. This is poor ethics...but not fake news. It was a real report furnished by a real person

Who? Where did this memo come from? It is an unverified and unverifiable piece of fake news that CNN tried to pass off as plausible. They had it come over their breaking news reel with Jake Tapper, this wasn't Maddow or someone doing a commentary.

You are claiming that this is an MI6 memo there is no evidence for that whatsoever, if Morell is proliferating that claim he has zero credibility, in fact NBC reported that the intel briefing brought this to Trump as an example of Russian disinformation, nothing to do with MI6 and the only evidence for that is again the unverified and unverifiable memo itself, it's laughable.

Re: Trump Invokes 'Fake News' at Press Conference

out and out saying he wasnt going to take a question from CNN....
It really would not matter if he did or not. CNN just makes things up and reports it regardless of thw truth. No point in Trump intefering with their creative writing process by giving them an answer

Re: Trump Invokes 'Fake News' at Press Conference

Well, Hillary losing is some consolation.

The first couple days after the election results were pretty awesome. But then reality slowly sinks in and we're stuck with Orange Hitler. I would have preferred Neil Degrasse Tyson's idea.

Could use a new ballot choice: “None of the Above”. If it beats the leading candidate then all new people must run for office

Snowflake, being alpha means not caring what anyone thinks and being able to make fun of themselves. People who jealously defend their ego at all costs are brittle betas.

So, you don't understand what controlling the media really means.

Re: Trump Invokes 'Fake News' at Press Conference

Who? Where did this memo come from? It is an unverified and unverifiable piece of fake news that CNN tried to pass off as plausible. They had it come over their breaking news reel with Jake Tapper, this wasn't Maddow or someone doing a commentary.

It was reported from the source (the document included in the briefing) they got it from that the former MI6 agent who prepared the memos was known to the intelligence community and had done credible work in the past.

"The allegations were presented in a two-page synopsis that was appended to a report on Russian interference in the 2016 election. The allegations came, in part, from memos compiled by a former British intelligence operative, whose past work US intelligence officials consider credible."

Additionally, CNN did not report on the memos themselves. They reported on the report by the intelligence community given to Trump and Obama and high ranking Congressmen at the intelligence briefing. Buzzfeed was the only one who reproduced the memos . The intelligence briefing documents being a real thing is not in question.

"At this point, CNN is not reporting on details of the memos, as it has not independently corroborated the specific allegations."

It is verifiable that the memos were commissioned by republican and democratic campaigns opposed to Trump who hired a private investigator former MI6 agent to investigate business dealings by Trump. This is true so far as we know. That part hasn't ever been in question. This says nothing about whether the claims are true.

This memo was given by John McCain to the FBI. This is verifiable. Thats what they are reporting.

NOT. FAKE. NEWS. This is really simply.

choosing to freeze out one outlet sounds like controlling to me...hell, even shep smith and fox news just called out trump for how he treated that reporter and cnn

Nice strawman

CNN ran with a fake story. Not because i could not control it or because i didnt like it. It was fake because it was untrue.

Then you need to look up the definition of the word control. If I deny you access to my home does that mean I control you?
