I am sure there were legal aspects as to why DQ didn'0t take over the location.

Those employees worked for the franchisee and not DQ so they couldn't come in and start paying them for work.

Iknow this maybe an unpopular opinion, but I don't care at all about a few people losing poverty inducing jobs that offer no benefits and come nowhere close to supporting ones needs. Maybe losing a ****ty job to racist will allow these people to seek better opportunities or move to a better economic area. Expecting a company to hurt its own image just to save a few minimum wage employees who'd better off in literally any other career, is a weak defense of racism.

And whoever said in this thread that being called a racist is as offensive to them as being called the n word is to others, should prepare for a life of being offended if they comtinue saying dumb **** like thatright before they defend a guy throwing out the n word with no remorse.

Dairy Queen is a private business that can do absolutely anything they choose, including revoking his franchise license for being a racist piece of ****. Why do you hate freedom so much?

I said the potential public outcry is a social issue. DQ nipping it in the bud so that any outcry would not hurt its bottom line is strictly a business decision.

Sometimes business decisions and morality go hand in hand. It is very possible that DQ was appalled while still wanting to cut their losses.
