WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — A Mexican man accused of raping a 13-year-old girl on a Greyhound bus that traveled through Kansas had been deported 10 times and voluntarily removed from the U.S. another nine times since 2003, records obtained by The Associated Press show.

Three U.S. Republican senators — including Kansas' Jerry Moran and Pat Roberts — demanded this month that the Department of Homeland Security provide immigration records for 38-year-old Tomas Martinez-Maldonado, who is charged with a felony in the alleged Sept. 27 attack aboard a bus in Geary County. He is being held in the Geary County jail in Junction City, which is about 120 miles west of Kansas City.

Despite the ignorant horde lambasting Donald Trump for this statement that was made in 2015..

-- "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. ... They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people,"

..we continue to witness people being victimized on American soil by Mexican illegals.

Is it time to build the wall? Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Trump supporters still believe the guy was serious about building a wall but have dropped all thought of Mexico having to pay for it because they realize how stupid it sounded.

Reality must be settling in.

Stay tuned for more.

If your only consolation is that the wall was not paid for directly by Mexico that means a big victory for trump supporters

Because if the wall is built we win and liberals and illegal aliens lose

Because as we all know walls are impenetrable, it is not like you can around them or through them with the proper equipment.

Let's do away with DUI laws, because we know we can't catch every single drunk driver.

DUI laws serve to discourage drunk drivers and punish those that do and they are effective. All a wall will do is make sure that only the worst or highly motivated will get in which is most of them. Do you think people will go up to the border see the wall, say well I traveled for weeks to get here but I better go home, no. It will just create a larger market for ladders and smugglers. Do you think people are just randomly deciding one day to walk across the border?

But I thought no Mexicans could be rapists.

Building a wall serves to close the border and discourage people from crossing illegally.

Do you really think a wall will discourage people? These are not people just randomly deciding across the border into the US, they have made these plans for a long time, a wall is not going to stop them. You just increase the demand for ladders and smugglers.

Yes, I do think it will discourage people. Do DUI laws discourage people?

Yes because they are two completely different things, choosing to drive drunk is not a life-changing decision someones plans for weeks, months, years and will do anything to accomplish. Crossing the border is not something they do on a whim or after a night of drinking, it is the result of planning and motivation. There is too much to be gained from crossing the border, that nothing will stop them. DUI laws make it so that driving drunk is not worthwhile.

The wall will discourage people. That's the reason people are are pouring across the border in record numbers now, because they'll discouraged from dealing with a border wall.

Walls need boots on the ground to reenforce them

We have a really tall fence around the White House but also armed guards

And still people manage to get inside the White House fence now and then. But we take those breaches seriously and deal with them seriously and don't consider whether the offenders are needy or just want a better life or are victims or whatever and they should be allowed to stay. They go to jail or receive whatever appropriate restraint or treatment is called for immediately.

We need to treat those coming into the country illegally equally as seriously and definitively.

Ten years ago I was very depressed over the immigration issue

It seemed like the open border/amnesty side could not be stopped

But now I think we are going to roll the quislings in Washington and I'm looking forward to it

Have you been keeping up with the current brewing scandal that some--maybe many--of the border security personnel have been taking millions in bribes to look the other way or even assist the intruders and drug cartels?

Oh i see. When he said "They're rapists" what he meant was "There is a rapist"- what i don't see is why you think the misunderstanding could possibly be my fault.

The laws themselves aren't going to discourage anything. Those laws being enforced, will.

If the wall makes it harder for illegal crossing of the border, that'll be a positive step, not the wall itself, but that illegally crossing the border becoming more difficult will.

Why do you think it will discourage people, people will not change their plans because of some wall. It just becomes an obstacle they will overcome through some other means like I said before.

Exactly, a wall does nothing by itself, but it is also impossible to man the entire the border, at some point it just does not make economic sense. Building the wall alone does not make economic sense let alone manning it.

That's the first I heard about it

At least someone in government is trying to catch the crooks from within

The story points out that as border security immigration improves bribery will become an even greater menace
