Looks like putin and trump have reached an agreement on who should keep their bags packed BUTT if trump doesn’t toe the party line " Russia retained the right to punish U.S. diplomats in the future. " :2wave:

By Andrew RothDecember 30 at 11:09 AM

<MOSCOW — In a rare break from the diplomatic tradition of reciprocal punishment, Russian President Vladi*mir Putin said Friday he would not deport U.S. diplomats in a tit-for-tat response to U.S. hacking sanctions, as Russia looks to cultivate relations with the incoming administration of President-elect Donald Trump. >

<“We won’t create problems for American diplomats,” Putin said in a statement released by his press service Friday afternoon, adding that Russia retained the right to punish U.S. diplomats in the future. He said he would “plan further steps for restoring the Russian-American relationship based on the policies enacted by the administration of President Donald Trump.” >

<Putin’s surprising decision came just hours after the Russian Foreign Ministry suggested that Putin expel 35 U.S. diplomats and close two properties used by the U.S. Embassy in Moscow as part of a growing diplomatic slugfest over Russia’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. >

<Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in a statement carried by the Interfax news service, called for 31 employees of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow and four diplomats from the U.S. Consulate General in St. Petersburg to be declared “persona non grata” and forced to leave the country.>

<"Countermeasures, which are typically mandatory, should be weighted in this case, considering the known circumstances of the transitional period and the possible response of the U.S. president-elect," said Konstantin Kosachyov, chairman of the foreign affairs committee of Russia’s upper house of parliament.>

Its expected. Putin knows Obama's a lame duck President and also knows whats motivating him.

Responding in kind would just legitimize Obama's tantrum and since a new president is coming in shortly, Putin wants to leave the door open for normalizing relations between the super powers

For decades the Left has been bending over for Soviets, and Obama has bent over for Putin, going so far as to tell Medvedev... "tell Vladimir I'll have more flexibility after the election".

As Obama held his ankles, what do you think Putin would do?

If their game was chess, Putin would be considered a rated player, and Obama a pure novice... just learning how the players move. He's made Obama look the fool for years... and now Obama and the Left have been having tantrums, turning over the chess board.

The child-like amateurs are leaving very soon... let's see what happens.

Odd and funny to see the Left finally be confrontational to the Russians... it only took more than a half century!

Lol ! The Democrats have lost over 900 State legilsator seats since 2010, 12 Governorships, the Senate and the House and now the Presidency.

Putin had NOTHING to do with it. Putin also had nothing to do with Hillary's decision to creat a rogue Email server and then feed the American people a bunch of lies about it.

Or do you still believe that she did it for the conviene of using one device or any of the other lies she fed us ?

No, this is all on Obama and Hillary and the Democrats, Obama and his supporters just dont have the maturity to accept it.

Putins not my " bud ", I just dont think starting another cold war becuse the Democrats lost their asses and have been exposed as a bunch of low lifes is the answer

I like that a lot. Now, what could make it perfect would be if he would meet with our security people and straighten this out... if they're innocent, of course.

I'm actually impressed. He's acting more mature than our president.

Biding his time till his home boy Trump is in the office.

Why would I need to start a new thread ? You blame Putin and claimed I was his " bud " and I responded with relevent and informative rebuttal.

Noticed your'e rebuttal was nonsense and failed to challenge anything I said. I guess my post was the truth.

You think Trump, a pro-American... vs. Obama the anti-American who did everything possible to knock America down, is going to bend over for for anyone?

ROTFLOL...

This is going to be a fun 8-years watching the Left spinning like a top, chasing their own tails.

Re: Putin says he won’t deport U.S. diplomats as he looks to cultivate relations with

I was 60% confident that Putin would put the DC Elite on blast but this is better. Someone very close to Putin yesterday said that retaliation was a sure thing, that is what confused me. One thing that I really like about this move is that it puts Congressional R's on notice that Putin does not give much of a damn what they think, that he is dealing with Trump, which is a great lesson for them this early in the game. We dont want them getting any ideas that Trump is anything other than the new sheriff in town.

This is the consequence of Americans losing faith in their leaders. And the media. You call it naive. I call it hopeful.

It looks more like Putin is playing a masterful game and showing the world that Obama can be ignored, while putting Trump in a very awkward position. Strewing discord in the the new Presiden's party and distrust of his capabilities and loyalties in political circles as well as the population at large. He is only demonstrating that one shouldn't engage with him, if you are a nincompoop or neophyte.

They sure dont seem interested in wising up do they......

Ryan needs to be paying attention too, his competence is in great doubt but if he can only manage to plays his card right he might grow up to be somebody.

Re: Putin says he won’t deport U.S. diplomats as he looks to cultivate relations with

How, exactly, is the right bending over for Russia in this instance? Clearly, from what I've read and heard, the Republicans in both Houses of Congress are preparing to hold hearings on the issue of Russia's involvement with the email hacking and leaks, even though the White House and their flunkies in the media are trying to portray it as the Russians hacking the election without any proof of such, whatsoever.

Seems pretty sane for President Elect Trump to be the adult in the room and suggest to world leaders that they just wait out the infant in the Oval Office for a couple of more weeks and then the situation can be reviewed and less emotional and personal positions be taken by American leadership. What's wrong with that picture, other than it making President Obama look like the childish fool he is??

Where is the crystal ball in my post?

Yours is a non-answer to a set of accurate observations based on more than 50-years of Leftist behavior towards Russia/USSR, and the past 8-years of Obama-Putin-Medvedev.

I understand this is difficult for the Leftists to swallow, but it's your behavior... your idiocies, your failures... you folks own it all.

Enjoy.

Putin is playing you all like fiddles. If Trump rolls over for Putin it will be a disgrace and will jeprodise NATO and all other American interests.

Putin is a very very dangerous man and his domestic policies put him at odds with everything America stand for
