Killing ambassadors is not generally a safe move.
 
Russia has long held that Turkey is buying ISIS oil. I can imagine how this fits somewhere into that whole mess.

Prayers to the ambassador and his family.

The US does not offer Russia our full support, nor are the Russians our brothers and sisters, no matter how much you may wish it to be so comrade.

But it's at least encouraging that Trump hasn't tweeted anything about it. This is the kind of thing that started WWI.

imo our leader trump will extend the blessings of our country to our friends in russia. maybe tomorrow
 
I wonder if we can expect to see the Russian Foreign Minister shedding a couple crocodile tears by this Ambassador's flag-draped coffin, brought back to Russia, referring to him as "Andrei" and assuring his family members that Russia will not rest until those ultimately responsible for his murder are brought to justice. Or maybe the official story will be put out that the incident was provoked by an anti-ISIS video.
