Clinton Campaign Will Participate in Stein’s State Recounts

I don't know for certain. I can only guess.. Someone has to make up the difference, though. Maybe Stein.. Maybe tax payers. Shrug.

Guesses don't pay the bills.

$1 million doesn't pay the $3 million in bill either.. so...

If I were the Wisconsin Sec Stat (or whomever it is that handles that sort of thing) I wouldn't do the recount but claim that I did. That's what happens if you pay 1 mill for a 3 mill job.

Oh, yeah for sub-state races there's no question. Even if the Democrats had a 7 point national win, they'd be unlikely to take back the house.

But... I think 2018 is going to be a vastly different ball game.

It is exactly the reverse of this last election:
“In just a few weeks Demo*crats have gone from driv*ing for what figured to be an easy lay up to hav*ing the rest of the sea*son can*celled, with the next sea*son in real doubt. They seemed to have the pres*id*ency in hand, a ma*jor*ity in the Sen*ate very likely, and, while win*ning a ma*jor*ity in the House was al*ways un*real*ist*ic, they did seem to have a good chance to cut the GOP ma*jor*ity in half with a gain of between 10 and 20 seats. In*stead they al*lowed the White House to slip from their grasp, gained just two Sen*ate seats, leav*ing them in the minor*ity, and gained only a half dozen seats in the House, be*low the bot*tom end of what thought pos*sible.”

“It only gets worse. Demo*crats would need a three-seat net gain in the to se*cure a Sen*ate ma*jor*ity in 2018, a tall or*der since they’ll be de*fend*ing 25 seats and Re*pub*lic*ans just eight. Of the eight Re*pub*lic*an seats up in 2018, just one, that of fresh*man Sen. Dean Heller in Nevada, is in a state that went for Demo*crats in either the 2012 or 2016 pres*id*en*tial elec*tions (it voted Demo*crat*ic in both). No oth*er GOP-held Sen*ate seat ap*pears to be even re*motely in danger.”

If you have a parrot or a canary, you can use if for something useful

I was checking out magazines while waiting for a prescription to be filled when I noticed that Newsweek has a special edition Trump presidential issue out now. I need to buy one in case the recount changes things (I don't believe that will happen), and it becomes valuable.

I think I'll get one anyway. They would look good side-by-side.

Yes, but Casca said that tax money is going to it. If the millions Stein raised isn't going to the recount, then what's the tax money for?

More evidence that taxpayers will pay. A quote from Stein herself:

Stein countered that Trump's "cynical efforts to delay the recount and create unnecessary costs for taxpayers are shameful and outrageous."
