Jesse Jackson Urges Obama To Issue Pardon For Clinton

So why doesn't he just pardon every innocent person in the country. You know, just in case.

Please. You know why.[/QUOTE

Your question is ludicrous. I was only stating the actual powers of the President as an honest answer to your question. Trump said Hillary belonged in jail and he would appoint an outside counsel to prosecute her. Even though the President has no power to appoint a special prosecutor, If he kept up his rhetoric, I suppose Obama might figure Trump would make sure he appoints an AG and head of the DOJ that would do his bidding. In that case, maybe Obama might make a preventive pardon. But Trump has backed-off and I don't think Obama would have pardoned Hillary anyway, IMO.
