Trump Supporter, 15, Beaten During Rockville Protest

I don't think it was necessary for every American to be Christian, I'm not much of one myself. But I do believe everyone benefitted from Christianity being the faith of 90% of the country for many years.

I also believe that Christianity helped create the excellent standards of living in the US and Europe that made people from Asia, the Mideast, and other places desire to move there.

What, specifically, about Christianity made the U.S. better than, say, Vietnam?

I dunno, ask black people. Or women. Or gay people. Or communists. Or atheists. Or any other groups of people who had dick-all for rights back then.

The black community is thriving today, after 50 years of handouts?

Women now raise children without husbands. Progress?

In all honesty, gay people never seem happy with the advancements they've made. There's always something new that they are demanding, and it doesn't stem from discrimination.

Communists are idiots, no need addressing that.

Atheists have gained a lot, that's true. Good for them, bad for society imo.

Many early pioneers in science were Christians. In fact, the Catholic church in England was once the epicenter of the scientific world. Their discoveries made it possible for later advancement in science.

Christian enlightenment spurred Isaac Newton, who is still well known to this day. He's just one example, there are hundreds more.

Dude, a good half of Africa is Christian as all get-out and I don't see anyone lining up to emigrate to Uganda.

The U.S. rose to the forefront because of industry and opportunity, not hokey Bronze-Age superstition. Now, for The Others, life was probably better to live in the U.S. than, say, Persia, but I hardly think that's a gold standard.

Well, much like Latin America, Africa is a mix of Christianity and native religions and superstitions. You could have mentioned Latin America as an example of Christian nations that nobody wants to move to.

What's your opinion for why Africa lags behind?

There are several reasons, none of which I feel much up to delving into at 3 in the morning.

Their parents probably congratulated the criminal children for "standing up to hate".

Gawd. Where did you grow up? Where I grew up, at age 16 you could get beat just for the school you went to. That's how kids that age are. You and your ilk are salivating at crap like this, rolling it around and seeing where you can take it.
A kid got beat up (barely) by other kids because he was on the wrong side. Could have been worse at a Texas high school football game.

Some myths to have some beneficial effects. Take for consideration that carrots improve eyesight. It was pure BS sprung by the English in WWII to fool the Nazi's to explain why they were suddenly able to pinpoint Nazi bombers.
It was a myth but did trick kids around the world to eat a healthy vegetable.

With Christianity there were some good tenets in it initially. But typical of all movements the extremists always take it over.

Probably in another 100 years the practice of religion will be popular as witchcraft is today.

Nobody here is...but it is surprising the number of Liberals that it does apply to, wouldn't you agree?

No it doesn't. Let's look at it this way. The most liberal cities in the country, cities like Portland, Seattle, San Francisco and so on also tend the be statistically some of the safest cities in the country if not the world. There is no liberal predisposition to violence.

You know a few weeks ago kid with cerebral palsy went to a Trump rally in Florida to protest. He was thrown out with reports of Trump supporters kicking at his wheelchair as he was being pushed out of the rally. A Kid With Cerebral Palsy Got Ejected From A Trump Rally. Then He Met The President. | The Huffington Post https://www.facebook.com/PeredaValentina/posts/1690021007981150

One of my kids has cerebral palsy. However, I did start a thread on the treatment of the kid at Trump's rally because I assumed that the pieces of **** that were kicking at this kid's wheelchair and yelling at him were in no way representative of the typical Trump supporter.

We live in a country of 300 million people, there are some bad apples in that 300 million people, but most people are good people regardless of their political beliefs.

You just said a bunch of lies about the left and now you are whining about how you feel insulted? lol

Always the victim aren't ya...

classic Hillary supporter reply. hows it workin for ya

"My party"?

That's wonderfully funny.

I'm sorry; that accusation sums up pretty much everything wrong and problematic about the style of thinking employed by you and others like you on both sides that are fomenting this hyper volatile environment we have right now.
wow youre in Hillary denial right now. you need a service animal to help with that depression

Which strain helped write this post, lol?

I don't know. It doesn't take much to trigger righteous flashbacks. It might have been that stuff decades ago called Micanopy Madness. I didn't smoke it. I ate it in a banana cake. The resulting psychic dreams scared me straight!

It isnt surprising how many? I would have have expected none to riot like this. Thousands to tens are... that is a lot regardless of the total.

Carrots are good for vision.

What kind of piece of **** parent takes her wheelchair bound special needs child to protest political rally?

Why do you believe that people with disabilities should be excluded from the political process?
That's a reprehensible position.

A 14 year old special needs kid, at a political rally that will probably become violent? Someone should look into this woman's fitness as a parent. Her judgement obviously skewed.

Portland, Seattle, and SF also happen to be doing well financially. Other liberal cities like Chicago, Detroit, and Philadelphia are very some of the most dangerous cities in America.

San Francisco has seen crime skyrocket since Jerry Brown got proposition 47 passed. They average 100+ homicides a year too. I could make the argument that SF would actually be very safe if not for the extreme liberalism.

The kid wanted to go. I wouldn't have taken my kid, but it certainly does not excuse the behavior of the people there.

It sounds like the parent wanted to go, and the kid thus had to go. A political rally to a kid is some asinine ****. They're probably right!
