US military hackers are standing by to attack Russia's infrastructure, including electric power, telecom and the command systems of the Russian state - all in the name of defending Hillary Clinton from Wikileaks. If the email hacking happened in the past, then how would further releases by Wikileaks of that old hack amount to fresh foreign provocation that would justify a new offensive against Russia?

U.S. Govt. Hackers Ready to Hit Back If Russia Tries to Disrupt Election - NBC News

U.S. military hackers have penetrated Russia's electric grid, telecommunications networks and the Kremlin's command systems, making them vulnerable to attack by secret American cyber weapons should the U.S. deem it necessary, according to a senior intelligence official and top-secret documents reviewed by NBC News.

It should be the American people, and not the corrupt Whitehouse, which decide who is guilty and deserves punishment for deeds done during this election. Under the Obama Whitehouse, the DOJ has clipped the wings of the FBI and denied them the tools to pursue investigation against Clinton. Denying requests to convene a Grand Jury was a key conspicuous example of DOJ protecting Clinton.

So far, nobody has bothered to present to the American people direct evidence backing up allegations made about foreign tampering, etc.

In an election, the appropriate standard of proof is to present hard evidence, rather than mere hearsay by intelligence agencies, which may be just as compromised as DOJ.

It's ironic that Clinton & Co have called for FBI to "get the facts out there" and not just make allegations, and yet in regard to allegations of Russian election-tampering, it's a completely opposite standard of relying on the hearsay of intelligence agencies without any call to lay out the evidence before the people. The FBI has of course made no public allegations of Clinton wrongdoing, merely innocuously saying investigation was on. But in regard to Russia, the Clintonites are full-throatedly accusing Russia, citing hearsay from intelligence agencies without presenting any facts to back up claims.

If the US then takes actual offensive action against a foreign country simply to bear out Clinton's claim of "Russian tampering", then it will truly be a Wag-the-Dog situation, threatening escalatory confrontation between the world's 2 foremost nuclear powers.

Heh, and corrupt people on this forum claim Trump will start WW3 - looks like the Hillary camp and their cronies in the Whitehouse are ready to start WW3 even before she enters office - maybe even just to help her enter office.:doh

Some people have no shame or decency.

Right we should suspend our Constitution and install Herr Trump as Supreme leader in the name of "decency". More likely you should crawl back in you hole and hope nobody remembers who you voted for. We don't' take kindly to treason here and we are not chickens either. Putin will see his entire nation vaporized if he tries anything and he knows it. Americans don't back down from tyrants., where are you from?

People have the right to vote howsoever they please - unlike your fascist Clinton & Obama, who are engaged in naked race-baiting (Clinton & Obama are telling people at campaign rallies that Trump is with the KKK - WTF???) - nobody at any Trump campaign rally is saying anything remotely similar (eg."Vote for Trump or Willie Horton will carry off your women!"). Trump is talking about Hillary's corruption, and that's a perfectly mainstream way to campaign. But to see Clinton & Obama saying Trump is with the KKK is despicable. Obama in particular should show better judgement as a president - he is really looking/sounding un-presidential with this kind of talk.

"Vaporized"?? Over whom - Hillary Clinton? Is she Helen of Troy or something?

If you want to go fight Russia, why don't you get off your ass, pick up a rifle and head off over there, instead of trying to drag everyone on this side of the ocean into war with you? I'll hold your coat, tough guy, while you go off and show us all how it's done - the rest of Americans don't have to be your vassals in whatever personal grudge you have going on.

You still don't get it. If we back down we will be Putin's bitch. Is that what you want? I believe it is and it makes me sick. Russia's economy is the size of Mexico, Putins's all hat and no cowboy. We have the upper hand and we will keep it that way. We can strangle his economy and make him stay in line. If the USSR could not attack us puny Russia certainly won't. You want to give up without a shot and that is treason.

How partisan does one have to be to support the hacking of a Presidential election by a foreign government?

It makes me want to vomit.

I was disgusted when Americans elected Dubbya in 2004. But Trump and his supporters have brought this Presidential election into the depths of a sewer I never thought possible. I don't know what else to say.

Our country's democracy is being tampered with by a foreign power and Trumpkins are supportive of it.

The old, "Then why don't you move out of the country" salt is almost always inappropriate. But it isn't here. One must hate this nation to want to see its democratic processes upended by another nation. So please leave. Go to Russia. There exists the strongman you so hunger for. He jails his political enemies, kills journalists he doesn't like, and the media isn't allowed to say bad things about him. So go join him. He's everything you want in a leader. And then you can, on some level, rightfully cheer as he instructs hackers to mess with the American electoral process.

God, I can't wait until this thing is over. Four more days and that festering piece of orange **** along with his vomitous supporters will begin to slink back into the cesspool from which they slithered.

"We"?? Whaddya mean "we"? There is no "we" in this election - there are just goodguys and Hillary fanatics. You're on the side of Hillary fanatics, so I don't identify with any "we" that you purport to represent.

If you say it's Putin, then you better pony up the evidence. You'd better provide proof, instead of just shrill demagoguery hoping that if you shriek shrilly enough, that nobody will dare ask you for proof.

Give us the evidence please. No more hearsay - no more "everybody knows that..." - I need actual hard proof, not "my friend at the CIA knows somebody who knows somebody" etc.

Show me the actual smoking gun, please. Otherwise, I feel you're just engaged in electoral mud-slinging. Name-dropping Putin isn't enough for me.

Hillary and Obama are nakely accusing Trump of being with the KKK, which shows what desperate lengths they'll go to. They're stooping lower than low in this election. There is no "we" - I don't identify with your "we" - I don't accept you at your word, you'll have to show me hard evidence of your claims.

Since Trump is endorsed by the KKK and every other white supremacist group around, you might as well admit to yourself the company you keep, right? Admit that it does not bother you one bit because you are not like them. Then ask yourself why are they attracted to him and is it for the same reason as you are? Her's a good article on why we need to keep a leash on Putin or risk losing much of Eastern Europe to his aggression.

The next U.S. administration should recognize that the nature of the Putin regime precludes real partnership between the United States and Russia and vastly limits areas of cooperation. Increasing engagement will not change that — both George W. Bush and Barack Obama tried and failed — and even risks appearing desperate, which Putin would exploit as weakness on our part.

We should stay true to our values and restore the notion of “linkage” by making clear that Putin’s mistreatment of his own people — and his neighbors — will adversely affect our bilateral ties. The next administration should implement more aggressively the Magnitsky Act for gross human rights abuses and maintain — even ramp up — sanctions against Russia for its ongoing violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty. And we should make sure that Putin’s best export — corruption — does not pollute our own way of doing business.

Our country's democracy is being tampered with by a foreign power and Trumpkins are supportive of it.

Democracy is being tampered with by extra-territorialists who demand open borders. If Russians were coming in across the porous Southern border, you'd be welcoming them with open arms, just for the sake of keeping that border open. Illegally importing foreign supporters from a southern neighbor is a helluva lot more harmful than some Russians coming across a wire -- hell, at least when they're confined to an email gateway they're not out in America's streets physically assaulting citizens, or hooking them on drugs, or stealing their livelihoods.

The old, "Then why don't you move out of the country" salt is almost always inappropriate. But it isn't here. I've had this argument so many times before that I always see the same predictable replies even in advance of them being made. Note that I said if he wants war with Russia, then he can go off to war - ie. he's the one with the overseas obsession, not me. You're of course willfully twisting my words trying to claim that I'm telling him to go - no, what I told him is that if he's so interested in going overseas to fight, then just don't drag me with you. Whether or not you want to go there is upto you, but don't think you can just drag me along.

Again, I've had these same arguments many times before, and so I'm used to seeing responses identical to what you just gave. I know all the tricks from you bums, I know exactly what kind of distortions to expect. It's like a bad radio jingle.

Wrong - the movement for national sovereignty isn't going anywhere. The one who's going somewhere is your precious Mata Hari Hillary -- she's headed for prison because of the sheer volume of incriminating evidence mounting against her. She may get a pardon - and once she does, Obama's legacy will be just as trashed as hers.

How partisan does one have to be to ignore the TRUTH by trying to sully the source?

Wherever this information is coming from, whether it be turncoats in the Democratic campaign, our own intelligence agencies trying a "counter-coup," or the Russians (Chinese, w/e); what does that matter if the information is TRUE?

Apparently you prefer the business as usual dirty politics, where they lie to our faces secure in the belief they won't be found out. Like Hillary's "faux public vs real private position" on every issue.

Despite what you may think, it's not the Russians that are the problem...it's the fact that all this factual dirt is coming to light about your chosen candidate and you just don't want anyone to use it to make an INFORMED decision. :coffeepap:

Hahaha - there we go - the great Vast-Right-Wing-GOP-KGB-FBI-KKK Conspiracy!

Hell, you forgot to include the Martians in there. :lamo

With HBO and several others documenting how easily the new voting machines are hacked, if they are hacked, or if the election is rigged (there are so many reports of media 'headlines' ready for Wednesday morning), how on earth will they know who did it?

How could Russia do it?

I'm very skeptical of the "Russian angle" that Clinton has been circulating for months now.

You can't possibly be serious. If you are, that's ****ing sad.

Neither Clinton nor Obama are even close to being fascists.

Trump's repeated retweeting of white supremacist talking points doesn't exactly disprove their case.

Your panic noted.

Also, your support of appeasing the foreign power noted.
