Bridgegate verdict: Bill Baroni and Bridget Kelly guilty on all counts

look at you...so happy that republican's are being jailed....:doh

No, criminals are being jailed. They were duly convicted on every single count by a jury of their peers, or don't you understand that?

LOL exactly! My point is that people of that area are totally used to sitting in traffic, especially on the GW bridge...So, I'll answer your question, there was none. Yep, NO politicial retribution because of that....All that was created there was an opportunity for libs to go after Christy and try to damage him....And hey if a few others have their lives ruined, and go to jail over a political prosecution then so be it.....liberals are disgusting.

  • Count 1

Charges Bill Baroni, former deputy executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and Bridget Anne Kelly, former deputy chief of staff for Gov. Chris Christie, with conspiracy to obtain by fraud, knowingly convert and intentionally misapply property of the Port Authority, an organization receiving federal benefits.

The count charges Baroni and Kelly conspired and agreed with each other and others, including David Wildstein, former director of interstate capital projects for the Port Authority, to take unauthorized control of Port Authority property and misuse it. The property they allegedly misused falls into two categories: Physical property and money.

The physical property they are accused of misusing are the local access lanes and the toll booths. The money they are accused of misusing stems from the time and services of Port Authority employees related to the scheme, including the employees' salaries and the overtime paid to toll booth operators to manage the single toll booth.
    Count 2

Charges Baroni and Kelly with the substantive offense of obtaining by fraud, knowingly converting and intentionally misapplying property of the Port Authority.

The count goes beyond the conspiracy and/or agreement, and relates to the actual misuse of Port Authority resources. Like the previous count, the property they are accused of misusing falls into two categories: Physical property and money.

  • Count 9

Yep, and you're dancing on their misfortune....own it....

Of course I do, just as I dance on Anthony Weiner's misfortune. I hope he does life. But these 2 pricks, while not deserving life for what they did, definitely deserve jail cells for a while.

He's facing impeachment.

And/or indictment.

Embrace it.

Hillary may soon be in the same boat. We will see how eager you are to embrace that.

As for the guilty verdicts, that is a good thing. But I heard they could be facing 20 years. That's seems way over the top. There are people who serve less time for murder.

Are you kidding me here? You wish them dead? Wow! talk about over the edge.....

This is pretty much my thoughts on it. If you commit a crime, you should face the consequences, period. However, 20 years does seems ludicrous. Make them reimburse people for the gas they used and forbid them from having any job relating to government. I always thought the punishment should fit the crime. You have Hillary possibly rewarded with the presidency after committing numerous felonies without even having to answer for them in court; convicted rapists getting merely months in jail; and then you have people getting a year for making an honest mistake with no real victims. Our justice system needs to be renamed, because it is in no way related to justice anymore.

Most in the area of the back up let out a collective yawn when traffic jams like that happen....Oh, btw, that is just about every day.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

Good. I hope Christie is next.

Can anyone explain what political retribution was created by making people sit in traffic?

Really? This is the angle you want to take. Political bullies used their position to do this retaliation and you are fine with it and willing to defend these actions because Republicans did it. How partisan of you.

BTW... Kids couldn't get to school, I do believe a woman died in an ambulance in transit so lives were at risk. But all that matters not because trouble13 thinks its ok when Republicans do it. All this talk you repubs do about Hillary and dem corruption and all you need is very loosely tied conspiracy theories as proof and it sets you all off in a tizzy. But here we have pretty concrete evidence of corruption, evidence enough to indict and convict for political corruption and its no big deal because they have an R next to their name.

That's pathetic.

I think you missunderstood my question or something. I wasnt defending what they did. They were convicted and should face the penality of the crime.

On the surface it looks like an ineffective political retribution. I dont see how it punished the mayor. People are not going to get mad at him over a traffic jam. Traffic jams are a regular way of life on that bridge.

The best part is this is that the guy that Trump picked to do thousands of new hires; hired people that are now convicted federal felons.

Way to go, Donald.
