Two former allies of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) were found guilty Friday of conspiring to shut down the nation’s busiest bridge to punish a local mayor who refused to support the governor’s reelection bid, authorities said.
William E. Baroni Jr., the former deputy executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and Bridget Kelly, Christie’s former deputy chief of staff for legislative and intergovernmental affairs, were both convicted of all the counts against them, the U.S. attorney’s office in New Jersey posted on Twitter. ...
they promised to appeal the jury's decision

any guesses whether tRump's almost choice as VP running mate will be the next to be indicted in this matter?

I would guess not. If they had the goods on him they would have gone after him right from the start. Whatever Bridget Kelly said during the trial, you can be sure they knew that already.

what they have now that they did not have then is witnesses willing to come forward and tell what they knew

and the sentencing has not yet occurred ... this may be a ripe moment to negotiate an agreement with the convicted christie aids

I am sure a plea deal can be arranged for testimony.

Then we have other consequences of their illegal activity. While the daughter believes her mother had passed, she was not attending, the Paramedics were.
So possible lawsuits against all involved, the State and perhaps some sort of charge, negligence causing death. Not sure of US laws
At least 1 death can be attributed to this closure

The lane closure scandal rocking New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's administration is raising questions whether gridlock delayed paramedics' effort to save a 91-year-old woman who was in cardiac arrest and later died.
"This crosses a line that is rarely crossed: People's lives were in danger," said New Jersey state Sen. Ray Lesniak, a Democrat. "Endangering people's lives -- that's not politics. That's why the U.S. attorneys have to get involved."
Lesniak is asking for federal prosecutors to open an investigation into whether the lane closures were a factor in the woman's death.
Her daughter told CNN affiliate WABC that she didn't believe the traffic trouble was a factor in Florence Genova's death.

not saying this is not a legitimate issue
just wondering if the victim's 91 year age would impact the jury's decision in such a case

That is possible. But it would have been far easier to get then to come forward by granting them immunity in the first place.

NYT link below, 20 years is the max. Federal guidelines are 1-3.
Considering that they are guidelines, that they violated their duties, considering the death which is documented, and possible ramifications of not receiving proper medical care by Paramedics, which is documented in longer Ambulance response times, placing a numbers of citizens at risk, they should receive more than 1-3.
Now if they deal and if they can prove Christie was aware, and involved, then I could see 1-3. If not 5 or higher.

The crimes Ms. Kelly and Mr. Baroni were convicted of carry a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, but the United States attorney for New Jersey, Paul J. Fishman, said before the trial that there was “no way” his office would recommend that Ms. Kelly and Mr. Baroni serve terms that long. Federal sentencing guidelines suggest a sentence of from one to three years. Sentencing was scheduled for Feb. 21.

It's all lies, you see, all made up by the MSM, 'cause nobody in the GOP does anything wrong ever.

Said no Rep. ever...
What has been said is that if Christie had a "D" behind his name, the MSM would be covering his ass with everything they have. People like you would be claiming that he shouldn't beheld responsible for what his underlings did without his knowledge.

Clearly the closing of lanes on a bridge is far worse than putting TS/SCI data on an amateurishly managed, unsecured, private email server.

Man, I wish the FBI would just go on a tear and lock up Christie, Trump, Hitlery, Cheney, Bush, Bill Clinton, bankers, Facebook founders, etc.
