Politico Reporter Gets Caught AGAIN Sending A Story To A Clinton Staffer For Approval

Re: Politico Reporter Gets Caught AGAIN Sending A Story To A Clinton Staffer For Appr

Seeing as how we already know the ties between Assange and the Russian government,

Not so much.

UPDATE
I left Julian after midnight. He is fit, well, sharp and in good spirits. WikiLeaks never reveals or comments upon its sources, but as I published before a fortnight ago, I can tell you with 100% certainty that it is not any Russian state actor or proxy that gave the Democratic National Committee and Podesta material to WikiLeaks. The claim is nonsense. Journalists are also publishing that these were obtained by “hacking” with no evidence that this was the method used to obtain them.

Craig Murray is a personal friend of Julian.

and how we already know that the FBI's investigating a fraudulent letter apparently made to make the Clinton campaign look bad, and how we already know that 17 military and civilian intelligence agencies have said that Russia is trying to influence our election...

Again, not so much.

On Russian hacking connection, the U.S. isn't as sure as Clinton says it is

No, Hillary, 17 U.S. Intelligence Agencies Did Not Say Russia Hacked Dem E-mails

Used the same sort of methods as the Russian have used, yes. But no, not the Russians. Might even be someone on Russian soil, but not the state intelligence services.

...AND seeing that there's no confirmation that the e-mail is genuine...don'tcha think that maybe, just maybe we should wait for confirmation of the veracity that e-mail before we go assuming that it must be real?

In the 10 years that WikiLeaks has been leaking information, they've never had to issue a retraction.

In addition, the WikiLeaks emails have been proven accurate and real: Here’s Cryptographic Proof That Donna Brazile Is Wrong, WikiLeaks Emails Are Real

I'd consider the veracity already proven Glen.

I don't know if this works from my phone. If not I will resend. But this is a perfect example of that whole BS journalistic integrity thing. CNN is promoting this rally from 'beautiful Heinz Stadium'. And it turns out that there about 200 people in an area UNDER THE BLEACHERS.

Television news reporting started going to hell after Ted Turner established CNN. It was the first all news network. To my knowledge it was the first network attempt to make news profitable. Prior to that the evening news on whatever channel you watched didn't pay the bills. They weren't expected to profitable programs.

Turner and CNN changed all that and that is when television news reporting began to change. If you're going to be profitable you have invest buckets of money in market research, determine your prime market, program your news to that market, measure your viewing data, and then sell advertising like mad. If your market share increases and the increase is sustained you raise your ad rates. The news becomes big business and ultimately it is all about money. The public must be entertained or your news program fails to bills. If you are a 24 hour news network you've got to tart up ever story you can squeeze out in order to keep people watching. It ain't about news, it's about profit. Period.

Occurring about the same time the American economy took off, and the Pill being the true emancipator women went to work in huge numbers. Over a period of time people were too busy and/or too tired to read the evening paper. Circulation dropped and few evening papers exist today as the did a few decades ago.

Mom and dad popped tv dinners in the over and later in the microwave and the family ate watching the telly and often the evening news and then CNN. Television gave them their news. Families could multi-task. Fewer people sat around and read the newspaper.

Every success is the product of 3 elements: Proximity, timing and luck. Ted Turner did his homework, took a huge risk, and with great luck timed it just right. He changed the way news would be reported for most of the known world. Seeing the profitability big networks soon began to copy CNN.

Look at DP thread topics. Many are based on what some news celebrity said on an "news" channel. That is the influence television news has on this nation. The unfortunate part of it all is that most Americans don't know and don't care. They want someone to do the heavy lifting for them and they want to be entertained while being told what to believe.

Now we have pretty faces, sexy ladies, stylish men - news celebrities - presenting news in a format that has been researched for maximum viewership and maximum profit. It's not about the news anymore, it's about entertainment. Everyone who watches and the news and bases their opinions on the "facts" they've been told are important is being played like a fine guitar.

Just so I understand; you want to savage "the media" because, according to the OP, someone at Politico sought to validate the accuracy of biographical information before it was printed? Shouldn't we be celebrating good journalism?

Just so I understand....You are parroting Politico's response when asked about this after being caught, and thinking that is what he was doing? laughable....Here is more from the article....

"The eight paragraphs that Thrush sent Palmieri were filled with glowing sentences about her. She wrote in the forwarded email to Clinton staffers, “He did me courtesy of sending what he is going to say about me. Seems fine.”

The paragraphs about Palmieri ended up largely unchanged in the column, “Quiet, please. Hillary’s running,” a piece focused on Clinton’s press strategy.

In a previous email chain released by WikiLeaks, Thrush asked Podesta to look over a portion of a story pertaining to him. The Politico reporter in the email called himself a “hack” and said “please don’t share.”

Oh but it is so innocent right?
