Mississippi church burned, vandalized with 'Vote Trump'

Because maybe it is a loony group. Why is it so hard to believe there could be a nutball trump group that would do this? And no, I don't think the majority of Trump supporters are violent but there are violent groups on all sides.

Evidence?

1. Racism hasn't left the north.

2. Why aren't churches burned more often?

IMO technology and forensics play a large part. Lot harder to get a way with it. Also more people are offended now. Its not only seen as a racist act but an anti Christian act. The reward of any intimidation is outweighed by the risk of federal hate crime charges.

Its not hard at all to see it going either way. This election has brought out some real Looney Tunes supporters out of the wood work.

For all we know this fire could of been started by someone none political. They just wanted to piss off as many folks as possible a d watch people speculate over the why.

I accept that possibility I only commented on the poster that was "surprised" it could be a trump supporter .

Mississippi church burned, vandalized with 'Vote Trump'

JACKSON, Miss. (Reuters) - A black church in Mississippi was burned and spray-painted with "Vote Trump," officials said on Wednesday, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation said it was looking into the incident, which comes one week before the U.S. presidential election.

No one was injured in the Tuesday evening blaze at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville, and the cause of the fire has not been determined, Greenville Fire Chief Ruben Brown Sr. said in a telephone interview. Brown said the church had been heavily damaged by the fire.

Honestly... the first thing I'd investigate is the church's finances and insurance coverage. It wouldn't surprise me that people might take advantage of this overheated political season.

Then again, this is Mississippi so the thought that it might have been legitamitely burned down by angry right-wingers wouldn't surprise me either.

Deplorables did this.

Deplorables did this.

On that we all agree I think. We are just enjoying speculating on what campaign or any these deplorables align themselves with.

I think general agrement is could be either at close to even odds. Or neither as a long shot.

In the last week, I've read several articles about how black people aren't enthusiastic about Hillary, how registation among black people is down, and early voting among black people is down, then a black church get torched with "Vote Trump" spray painted on it.

Again, color me skeptical... Very skeptical.

.

This is exactly what a Dem would do to create a national news story to generate black voter turnout for Hillary. I wouldn’t be surprised if things like this weren’t being coordinated at the highest levels in the Clinton campaign.

yea, because the kluckers never leave their calling card when burning a black church
kkk burned cross.webp

1. Racism hasn't left the north.

2. Why aren't churches burned more often?

1. So that's an excuse? The KKK has always been strongest in the Deep South.

2. Because the morons who do it keep getting caught?

And lately, both Hillary and Obama have been fighting to encourage Blacks to vote.

I look at one pic for 3 seconds and I know that the people who did this do not support Trump.

I am also smarter than the average bear.

If you were then you wouldn't be so googly-eyed over Donald Trump.

 so you speculate prejudice with your own prejudice....

Recent history has shown these things are most often linked to inside jobs.... It will be interesting to see who this "person of interest" is...

Obviously the work of Russian separatists.

Need to check the politics of the congregation. If they aren't the right kind of negros it could have been leftists who did it. They aren't too accomodating when black people don't vote the way they're supposed to.

I suppose it could have been space aliens from space too, but what do you think is more likely? That some kind of "leftist death squad" is meandering through the Deep South burning church, or that the white supremacists who have a long history of playing with fire did it?( And who have been proven to exist, unlike your theoretical death squad).

Racism is everywhere. And committed by all races. It isn't confined to one location and one racial group.

Of course. But are you denying that it's especially prevalent in the Deep South?

Who said anything about a death squad? Some weird fantasy of yours? I've seen how people on the left treat blacks who don't support the right candidates or politics.

Nope, that's the far right's wet dream. Haven't you seen what they've been posting, both here and elsewhere?

But then again, I suppose it's easier to blame "leftists" than to face facts.

About as easy as it is to blame the far right without facts? This is a fun game, thanks for playing and showing us your bigotry. It's been fun and educational.

Yet not as easy as race-baiting up a faaaaarr flung conspiracy theory apparently.

"Last week, police charged 35-year-old David Lopez Jackson, who is black, with setting two of the fires. "Forensic evidence linked him to the fire on Oct. 18 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 1011 Theobald Street," the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported, and "video of his car near New Life Missionary Baptist Church, 4569 Plover Avenue, links him to the fire there on Oct. 17, police Chief Sam Dotson said." Jackson is a suspect in the other fires and additional charges are pending."

"In late June, after a pair of churches received menacing notices ("Black men, be aware, you are the target," read one), black suspect Vincent Broughton admitted to posting the ugly signs."

Who's Burning Black Churches? Oh. | RealClearPolitics

Short answer is we dont know. But frankly...recent history indicates that this kind of behavior has been perpetrated by the 'victims'. So I wouldnt be too quick to make any declarations of guilt until they actually have someone in custody.

Honestly...having been going to Mississippi for years to hunt? The last 2 statements make so much since. The poverty, the corruption, the resentment, and it isn't one race that does it. It isn't one political group. And it is hard to blame either side.
