Clinton looking past Trump to transition planning

(CNN)Hillary Clinton is steadily moving her focus beyond Donald Trump, increasingly planning for what she believes will be her transition to the presidency after a final two-week dash through battleground states.

Even as Clinton intensifies her efforts to help Democrats across the party, particularly trying to win control of the Senate, she is spending much of her time behind-the-scenes putting together a White House team and preparing for a task even tougher than taking on Trump: governing in the divisive election's aftermath.

"She's not being arrogant, she's being diligent," a top Democrat close to Clinton said. "She prepared for the debates. Now, she's getting ready to be president."

Let the Corruption Queen's coronation begin.

Re: Clinton Just Pretending She Already Won

And why shouldn't she? The divide is so wide between them, I can't imagine any way the gap could be bridged before election day (good ****ing going, Trump - you done ****ed us big time).

Re: Clinton Just Pretending She Already Won

If the Republicans didn't want Clinton to win, they should have run any other candidate.

And my suspicion that both parties have the same foreign policy and long-term hegemony goals is confirmed. Never again will I support either of these fiat-corporate entities.

I can't think of anyone who would have done as badly as Trump has out of the lot of them, save perhaps for Santorum and possibly Carson.

Carson would put all of his voters into a coma.

Rick Santorum would've defeated Hillary by a landslide. Ben Carson might have even beaten her.

Re: Clinton Just Pretending She Already Won

I wonder if she'll give lady Obama a cabinet position in her first or second term.

Probably not until her fourth or fifth term.

Re: Clinton Just Pretending She Already Won

As usual, her level of preparedness far exceeds anything Trump has been able to do.

  • She prepared her ground operations in the election a year ago while Trump is barely now just starting.
  • Clinton prepared her own campaign which she has built and run herself, while Trump has delegated the campaign to the RNC.
  • Clinton prepared intensively for the debates while Trump tried "winging it."
  • And finally Clinton is preparing for the Presidency itself.

You should give thanks that such a prepared and wholly qualified person is going to be President over the complete and utter moron that is Donald.

Well, at this point, if you believe the polling organizations, it's almost a given that she wins.

There is almost nothing she can gain by bothering to campaign against Trump much, damn near everyone who is going to change their mind about the 2 main party candidates has done so, and the rest are just waiting til Nov 8th.

Why the hell bother with the ****, just get ready to be elected.

Which, of course, presumes she does, but that **** is being presumed right now.

Hard to argue with that.

I don't know who is going to win, but I have a sneaky suspicion it won't be Hillary.

That means that not only will Hillary be gobsmacked, but there'll be a whole lot of Americans who'll be rushing to their therapists for help.

I think you are underestimating Clinton's ground game and Gotv efforts.
