Clinton Out With New Ad Featuring Khizr Khan

You are thinking like Trump. Blame. Blame creates hate. hate kills nations.

The job now is to demand accountability from the elected, whoever they are.

But it's absurd to blame people who saw Trump for what he is and the people who worked to expose him. I figure they have averted nuclear war or worse.

Any blame lies with those Americans who lined up and armed themselves with hate and voted likewise with this guy. That's all the guy offered and too many people bought it for their own ends.

Trump is not as bad as "those who wish to expose him for what he is". A lot of it was much ado about nothing and hyped up garbage.

Widespread cyberattack takes down sites worldwide - Oct. 21, 2016

If people looked up from their favorite political sites long enough to flip on a real news program, they'd realize that there is some really serious stuff going on besides the color of Hillary's pants suit and who Trump has groped lately.

The GOP and other non-democratic fans were thrilled to see the DNC hacked by Russia, or anyone else, so long as it was only happening to "those people who deserve it". Well, now it's happening to everyone. Three separate waves of DSA's all over the country targeting Amazon, Netflix, and dozens of others including, yes, Twitter.

Putin is probably smiling and saying, "Can you hear me now, America?"

Hi, I mentioned the DDOS thing in my post ("Fine, I figured it was all part of this DDOS problem that had hit various sites this morning, including Twitter.")

As far as who did it, how did you suddenly put the Russians in there? DDOS things happen all the time - you don't need to be a govt to do that - all you need is to create a botnet. (I'm a programmer and I've had training in hacking methods too)

The Left are always trying to advance their narrative that everything bad on the internet happens due to Mr Putin. DDOS attacks have been a problem for a long time, not just this election season.

Are you now implying that Russia is targeting random American websites for no reason? God you're desperate.

No, he offered to make other countries pay up for once, instead of us constantly footing the bill for a variety of things that need to be fixed around the world. Maybe that's something you don't have to worry about too often, but we do. He offered a candidate that wasn't bought and paid for, which is a really big deal here where they're all pretty much bought up by lobbyists. He offered secured borders, keeping illegals out. You unfortunately probably heard that as "I hate all Mexicans", but that's not what he said. He offered more jobs, which sounds attractive to many people since he's actually created so many jobs of his own. He offered to cut taxes. People have the impression that he could fight for them, not the lobbyist's.

The Army which is also fighting the Taliban. While the ISI is undoubtedly on the take, to say that there are no honest officers and soldiers in the Pakistani Army not only strains credibility, it's also nonsensical.

Judging by the rhetoric shown towards American Muslims by Trump and especially by his supporters, the ad brings up a valid point. Captain Khan, despite having done more for this country than many of those who have made deragatory statements about his family and faith, likely would be viewed with suspicion at best in Trump's America.

You're full of crap, of course - Pakistan military's involvement in Afghanistan is no less than Russian Army's involvement in Ukraine. Just because you're dumb enough to believe their denials doesn't change reality. All the Pak military do is take off their uniforms. Look at the firefights that have broken out when US forces tried to pursue Taliban fleeing across the border into Pakistan - the Pakistanis quickly open fire on the US troops while letting the Taliban pass unhindered. That's an ally to you? That's a Wolf in Sheep's Clothing.

Instead of only talking up the Pakistani Army, why not similarly talk about the honest officers in the Russian Army? Double standards from the slanted hypocritical American Left.

Why is why the Taliban massacred those kids, right? They were working with the army so they went after the kids of the army. That makes......literally zero sense.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Peshawar_school_massacre

The Pakistani Army has been fighting the Taliban in the Northwest regions of the country since 2004. They've allowed drone strikes against militants in their territory. It's not even remotely similar to the Ukraine; your attempt to legitimize Putin's land grab noted and ignored.

The Pakistanis have always been touchy about national pride and sovereignty. A big part of that comes from Kashmir and getting drubbed by India in three seperate wars. But to completely ignoring the sacrifices the Pakistanis have made fighting militants is ignorant.

Some groups have defected from the main Taliban, and are fighting the Pakistan Army. The main Taliban continue to be backed by the Pakistani Army and their military intelligence(ISI), and continue to kill and injure US soldiers fighting them.

DDOSing has been massively increasing in frequency lately, and with mroe and more devices becoming internet enabled (internet of things), there are more and more ways to build botnets (not that building a botnet is somethign just anyone can do).

Who cares? I'm still amazed people pay attention to these political ads. They're really nothing more than propaganda paid for by the wealthy.

The NRA ads are pretty good against The lying bitch and the new Trump ads about her wealth and her lies are good too. And those are far more pertinent than the pathetic whiners who say Trump insulted them

I stopped reading here. Sometimes the athletes do blame the refs for egregiously bad calls. Sometimes the coaches do too. And the professional sports commentators will do so frequently. If you had actually watched any American sports you'd know that. I stopped reading when it was apparent your analogy was going to fall apart.

You see, that's how you ALWAYS get it wrong. I said "pro athletes"...

Trump is an asshole.....

Hillary is a vindictive power hungry asshole

Now where did I mention Hilary?

You make clear what's wrong with the Trump campaign. Trump can't see pat his hatred; and his lame followers automatically ASSume that anyone who sees Trump for the stupid, bigoted, misogynistic fraud that he is must also be pro Hilary.

Shallow or what?

so tell me-why does your take on the election matter? I see your analysis as flawed and worthless. And in all fairness, what a non citizen thinks about the election rates very low on what should be cared about

They make the accusations - and they're hypocrites to do so, because they're busy orchestrating the same massacres in Afghanistan to terrorize them and take over their country. The Afghans aren't going to take this lying down, and are willing to reply in kind - anybody would, if their country was being invaded. You take the fight to the invader: Pakistan.

But you're just digressing here - the real topic here is that Pakistan is a predatory sectarian state, and its entire national identity is based on this predatory sectarianism, which it uses as a glue to hold itself together. Consequently, Pakistan produces a lot of people with this sectarian nationalist identity - people who wear their religious assertiveness on their sleeve - and it even exports them to other parts of the world. My statement includes people ilke Khizr Khan, or the new mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, etc, etc.

They are the spearheads of Islamic assertiveness directed at the rest of the world.

So easy to do against an exceptionally weak, unqualified Republican candidate. The Republican party really screwed up this time, running an un-serious candidate at a time that demanded seriousness. Grow-up Republican party.... take some time to read your own self-assessment,

GOP.com: Growth and Opportunity Project

because your failure to follow this is why you are losing in 2016. You will not see the White House* until you do.

* - except on the public tour

It's actually only easy to do when the target audience they have been feeding the fraud and deceit against Trump to is so totally gullible.

Why does this poor guy continue to allow himself to be used as a Hillary tool?

Wasn't it shown earlier that he was paid to speak at the convention and also he is an immigration attorney for Muslims, so he has a financial interest in Trump losing.

This never had anything to do with his son.

You think they are plotting to take over Afghanistan. You have yet to prove that---nor, for that matter, has anybody else.

Your paranoia that the Pakistanis are using some sort of agents to spread "Islamic assertiveness" is paranoid.

It has to do with Khan's personal religious politics. His son is just a convenient prop for that.

Pakistanis are the posterboys for Islamic assertiveness - just like the Cubans are for Latin revolution. Whether it's Khizr Khan or Sadiq Khan, they're always on the forefront of defending Islam. I have a pretty good familiarity with that country and its people - my mother was born in Lahore, but had to flee from there - non-Muslims are treated 2nd-class there. She immigrated to the United States in late 60s.

I then find it ironic that Khizr Khan claims to love the US constitution for its treatment of minorities, even while praising Pakistan, whose values are furthest from the US constitution.

His double standard reminds me of the old saying, "What's Mine is Mine, What's Yours We Share"

The Clinton campaign has released a brand new ad featuring Khizr Khan who puts on a sad puppy face while asking if his dead son would have a place in Donald Trump's America:

Clinton out with new ad featuring Khizr Khan

I find it ironic that Mr Khan postures like this, while having praised the Pakistan Army, who are the sectarian defenders of a sectarian state - the same army which hid Bin Laden from everyone for 10 years, while also clandestinely supporting the Taliban to kill and maim American soldiers.

While I'm sympathetic to the loss of Mr Khan's son, a US Army captain, I find Mr Khan himself to be a hypocrite.

Trump made this guy a national figure by virtue of his response earlier this year. I don't blame the dems for rubbing his nose in it still.

You know what's really F***ING ODD? I posted on Twitter comments similar to those I made at the start of this thread. My Tweet went out, I could see it there on my home timeline. I even grabbed the USA Today link from that Tweet, to use in my original post that started this thread.

Then suddenly I wasn't able to connect to Twitter anymore, and instead a DNS error was coming up on my screen. Fine, I figured it was all part of this DDOS problem that had hit various sites this morning, including Twitter.

Now this evening, I check back in with Twitter, and my Tweet is GONE! It's not even there in my timeline anymore. It just disappeared. Crazy.

On no sanman, the Clinton political machine is on to you; it's trying to suppress you. Do not yield brother; march towards the light at the end of the tunnel.

I know, right? How dare he be proud of his former country's fight against the Taliban and be an American patriot at the same time!

Given that we have a presidential candidate who goes out of his way to single out Americans based on their religion or ethnicity, and has followers who think that violence against innocent Americans on the basis of their religion is justified, one would think that it would be be appropriate to point out that Muslim Americans aren't some kind of creeping enemy agent seeking to destroy America.

Neither do I.

They ran him in ads immediately after the convention, but then backed off. Khan seemed to be veering off message a little by branching into other socio political commentary not related to his son's sacrifice. This might have made the democrats nervous. Thus, I think they shelved planned commercials and waited to see how Khan developed. They then decided to use his very effective core message as part of the "grand finale".

Hey genius - the Taliban were created by Pakistan in the first place - back in 1992/93.

Candidate Trump has nothing against other religions - he's a pretty worldly cosmopolitan fellow. What he's got a beef with is political violence masquerading as religion - as do many of us. Too many Muslims are indifferent and apathetic to that - as long as the violence is directed outwards at someone else.
