What is the substantive problem with doing that?

Is there any particular point you're attempting to make, here?

I'm not convinced that there is any particular point to be made by any of these leaked e-mails. So far they have only demonstrated that campaigns strategize - not particularly insightful. Unless...people don't think Palin was considered or chosen based on her intellect do they?

There are only three food groups. Meat, potatoes and whiskey. M&Ms go in the meat food group.

God damnit. After reading all of this talk about food, I've got a hankering for sausage and hash browns this morning.

Doing what? Picking a veep based on how many votes he or she can get for the ticket instead of trying to pick the best-qualified candidate? It strikes me as a rather cynical view of the voting public and what attributes one should use when judging someone. ("I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.") It's the reason Seth Wheeler initially turns down President Kirkman when first offered the job of White House Press Secretary in Designated Survivor. Seth thinks he's being offered the job for political reasons (because he's a Muslim) and initially turns it down, while the president pleads with him to accept it because he needs the best candidate in the job at a time when the country has lost its government.

What Ahlevah said is right.
This isn't a one off, but a more common occurrence in these emails.
In one, there are several positions with names beside it, the position "Political Director" has the person listed as "Hispanic Woman."
At the bottom, it breaks down the diversity of the staff.

There is another I can't find at the moment, but they're talking about getting "A Black" because they weren't polling as well with Black voters.

It's called Divide-and-Conquer.

They hungrily look at everyone as a potential meal/food to be eaten up.

Am I missing a point here? Who frigging cares, if anyone here was running for office they would do the exact same thing, believe me all the candidates do this. So far I am not seeing much when it comes to the supposed damaging leaks, if this is all they have then they have nothing that will change one persons vote.

So, think we will have a real debate tonight with lots of discussion on their proposed policies and how they plan on implementing them?

The same as "binders full of women"

I mean, Hillary stood in front of a auditorium of Hispanics and promised a "Taco Truck on Every Corner". Had a Republican been so boorish we'd never hear the end of it.

Somebody robs a grocery store store and the cops are racist to put out an APB for an African American. Somebody blows up a building, and we are racist if we use his NAME if it sounds Muslim.

And you don't see anything wrong with segregating people by race and religion and all sorts of groups for political appointments. You must be a Democrat. Oh, wait...

And this is why I will never understand the libertarian mind. Anyone who forgets cheese just lives on a different planet than I do.

Find me someone who said this.

Nobody was being segregated.

Cheese is in the meat group. Anything that is good with meat is in the meat group.

But what about things that are good with cheese?

We need a venn diagram.

Find it yourself if you feel you need to see it. I don't.

What do you call it when people are sorted by race, religion, color? Is there a better word?

But potatoes are also good with both cheese and meat.

Come to think of it, so is whiskey.

Potatoes are good enough to deserve a food group of their own. Same with whiskey. This isn't rocket surgery.
